Phillip was scary but I also thought he was just beaten; he has a job to do that has no room for compassion. When the scientist was calling him inhuman he seemed to shrink. There's definitely parts of the job he doesn't like. I also felt bad for Elizabeth's patsy, he seemed so sweet! *I* want to freakin' date him, no xeroxing necessary!

They are showing the emotional toll the job takes on Elizabeth and Philip. I do think he was affected by the scientist crying because he fears for his own family's future. He just has to bury the feelings. Elizabeth was clearly uncomfortable getting sexual with the seaman (sorry). She also was not thrilled to hear about Clark and Martha's hot sex life.
I'm thrilled about the development with Beeman. It could play out in a dozen different ways.

Well that was something. Is this going to be the season of disturbing sex scenes? They were better off when they didn't actually love each other. Jealousy is going to mess them up. I hope Claudia isn't going to kill herself. It sure sounded like a final goodbye. I know that Margo Martindale is stuck on another show but I hope they keep open the possibility that she can come back.

I didn't think I'd feel bad for Claudia but I do; she sounds like she's losing it. Damn, who killed Leanne & her family? Claudia's distress is spilling over to me.
What is that kid up to? I don't want to see a church leader executed b/c this chick is getting too Americanized.
The sex was definitely disturbing, as was Lucia's killing of her goofy but decent boyfriend.

Lucia was beyond dumb to take on a Navy SEAL.
I like how both Philip and Elizabeth are feeling the feels for Martha. It's going to be awful when they probably have to kill her too.
Can someone remind me who Vasili is? I think we've seen him before but I can't remember his significance.

God, Lucia, that was brutal. It goes to show what can come of being motivated by revenge instead of ideology. I think some of Elizabeth's misgivings about Phillip's car purchase contain her own fears that emotions of some kinds are dangerous in their line of work.

Vasili used to work at the Soviet embassy. Last season Nina was sleeping with him and giving secret info to Stan. When the KGB discovered there was a mole at the embassy, she had Vasili framed and he was sent back to the USSR. I'm really surprised the guy is still alive.

Did anyone else think Philip was going to kill the pastor and/or burn down the church? That last scene was so intense.
Poor Paige. She donates money to charity of her own volition and she gets punished for it. Elizabeth and Phillip fail at parenting.

Yes, I really thought Philip would kill the pastor.
I think accepting $600 from a teenager without consulting her parents is a little shady. But as the pastor said, that's not the only reason Philip was so angry. I think Philip was more concerned about how easily Paige was "exploited" and of course he's just pissed at the world in general.
I am concerned about what Philip might do...he really seems to be hanging by a thread.

Mr. Ladybug noticed that Oliver North got a "story by" credit on last night's ed! Anyone else catch that?
