I think the next chapter in the Martha story will be Philip contacting her parents and how they handle it. So far every American who learns the truth about them has stayed tight lipped. I'm waiting for someone to go to the FBI with some info.

Interview with Alison Wright. No spoilers in it, she doesn't say whether or not she is in any more episodes this season. I like that she doesn't see Martha as a victim. And I keep forgetting she is British. She does a great American accent. The best part of the interview is she is working with Ben Affleck and he is a superfan of The Americans. Call me Clark. LOL. That actually makes me like Affleck a little.

With the jump 7 months ahead the least episode had the feeling of a season finale that I almost didn't schedule my receiver for the show this week, I thought it was done. I do like the idea of jumping ahead. Instead of plodding through old stories to get to this point it'll be like starting over with an almost clean slate and moving onto newer stories. I just wish the Pastor Tim story had wrapped up before now though. I really hope Martha does okay in Russia. I have zero interest in Martha centered stories but an update tucked in there somewhere would be great.
I get it but I'm kinda annoyed by Elizabeth's sniping about Martha but pleased with Philip standing up for her. Philip is right, people do underestimate Martha and she's a better person than most people give her credit for.
I just can't get behind Stan. I find him creepy, but it's probably how am shallowly creeped out by his dark pupil-free eyes in the middle of his pasty complexion. His drawn out mumble way of talking does him no favors either. His reaction to Phil's friendship with his ex was so uncalled for. Dude broke up his marriage with his affair with Nina, he's got no place to be throwing stones. Nitpick: Stan's suits don't seem right for the era. Sure, they're supposed to be FBI level conservative so I can give him a pass for always wearing black instead of the the more common blues and browns of the time, but his suits' tailoring and tie/belt accessories don't fit the time period very well.

I loved how Elizabeth brought up Gregory during the marital fight last week. Elizabeth and Philip have unresolved resentments just like any married couple, though of course most married couples aren't spies.
The biggest threats right now are Pastor Tim and Henry's friendship with Stan. But the writers love to throw curveballs, so I have a feeling the next threat they face will come from somewhere completely unexpected.

I totally agree about Stan. He creeps me out.

and Stan's pretty stupid..... I got a good chuckle out of his "I'm low on beer" line last week seeing as we saw where the beer had gone to.

It's always been my one constant quibble with the show. Stan is just so stupid.... but if he wasn't then we probably wouldn't have a show.

Loved the end of tonight's episode. I have an unhealthy love for Peter Schilling's song "Major Tom (Coming Home)".
Wow, Elizabeth managed to seduce someone without actually seducing them. She's like David Copperfield!

I'm really feeling for Elizabeth. She really liked that family and her new friendship and her work required her to destroy them.
ETA: I did not need to see Oleg's o-face. I literally laughed out loud when that happened. I know he has some misgivings about his mother country, but I'm sorta hoping he doesn't turn. I'd rather see him turn Stan, but that doesn't seem too likely. Stan, as others have been saying, is just a dumb ass.
