I tried to care last night and couldn't. I love Sherlock and Joan and introducing this tension between them in the form of Mycroft was ridiculous. Especially when it came out of nowhere. It actually struck me last night that Bell's shooting occurred in this season. That's how removed these last few eps have been from the rest of the season.
If Joan had issues with Sherlock and felt the need then to move out, I would have understood her leaving. But she's leaving and relegating Sherlock to a burden she and Mycroft must deal with, made my face flame with anger. WTF, Joan?!
I don't know what happened to this show, but the back half was a mess. An absolute mess. The writers deserve all the flack they are getting in the media and twitter.

I had forgotten about Bell, which is not a good thing. They made such a big deal out of Sherlock reconciling with him and then they go and reduce him to a tertiary character for half the season.

I made it three-quarters through the season 3 premier and fell asleep. I don't like everyone's attitude to Sherlock and Kitty doesn't interest me one bit.

Oh good! I thought it was me. Everyone on my dash was so happy about the show being back and Joan being a badass and I had turned it off. Because I truly don't get why Joan gets to be mad when last season she was calling Sherlock a burden while sleeping with his brother. And also...wasn't Bell still nursing a grudge because of his injury? And Gregson...well, I kinda understood why he was upset. He vouched for Sherlock. But everyone else? GTFO. Kitty can go.

Season three is way to early to introduce a "Scrappy Doo" character, which is how I'm seeing Kitty if she's sticking around. I was very underwhelmed by this episode and if they don't resolve this conflict soon (and get rid of Kitty), I may not watch for much longer, which is a shame, because I really enjoyed the first two seasons.

I'll give it one more shot, then I'm done. Sherlock should tell them all to piss off, send Scrappy back to London, and find a new partner.

Yeah, Joan was acting like a scorned lover which was confusing to me. I can see her being upset with Sherlock leaving without saying goodbye, they were good friends, after all, but I felt his explanation was believable and Joan, being a former addiction counselor, should have realized that not giving into addiction is always the first priority. And I agree, the sooner Kitty is off the screen, the better.

I turned it on last night, saw Kitty being rude to Bell, and noped out of there.

I gave it one more shot and was completely bored. I want to watch Holmes and Watson, not The Kitty Show.
