I love Shamy too! They are the reason I laugh out loud, not because of Penny and Leonard. But I do love Sheldon's interactions with Penny. My favorite episode ever is when he has to drive her to the hospital after she falls in the shower. Blossom (I'm sorry, we still call her that and are unable to call her anything else!) is fantastic in this role. I'm so glad she became a regular.

I love that episode where Sheldon has to drive Penny to the hospital because she fell in the shower. The conversation as he filled out the form for her in the hospital is comic gold.
Even though I love the Shamy I do love scenes with Sheldon and Penny. I love the episode where Sheldon got sick and Penny had to take care of him and when Sheldon had to teach Penny physics.
Sheldon: Why are you crying?
Penny: Because I am stupid!
Sheldon: That is no reason to cry. For example, I cry because other people are stupid and it makes me sad.

I haaaaaaaate Raj's girlfriend. If she's going to be around for a while, they'd better make SOMETHING about her interesting, and fast.

Kate Micucci gets a pass from me because she's one-half of Garfunkel and Oates. But I agree, they'd better do something with her character fast.
In the past few seasons, it seems the show has changed from sit-com to rom-com, and I'm not sure I'm entirely happy about it. It's nice the guys are finding partners and all, but I miss the episodes where they were cheerfully exploding stuff. Maybe Lucy will turn out to be a shy lab nerd working for a pyrotechnics firm.
That said, I'd rather see Sheldon having fun with Amy than "Fun with Flags." Those segments are awkward and tedious, and need to go away.
Lastly - I liked that the guys and Amy enjoyed Penny's stage performance. It's not often Penny gets to impress the others with her skills in her field.

I like the Fun With Flags segments. They're just so random, as far as a hobby goes.

Tonight's episode was great. Sheldon, Leonard and Howard met with a classroom of junior-high girls in an effort to interest them in science professions. Of course nothing went right for the guys; luckily Sheldon thought to phone Amy and Bernadette for assistance. They tell the girls that they can be anything they want to be. Of course, they're saying this from Disneyland, where they've just gotten Disney Princess makeovers. (BTW, Amy looked beautiful.) Meanwhile, Raj and Lucy had their first real date. Raj addressed their extreme shyness by arranging a picnic lunch in a library, and they texted their conversations back and forth to each other. It was very sweet and touching.

I was a little underwhelmed by this episode. I thought all of the storylines were good, just not very funny. The only thing I thought was funny was Sheldon looking up "how to excite 12 year old girls" but that was spoiled by the commercials.
I'm trying not to be too negative because over at Television Without Pity they never have anything good to say and make it sound like the show completely sucks. I just found this particular episode a little blah.

I've found most of this Season kinda blah. There's been some highlights (like when they were stranded while wearing Star Trek cosplay) - and then the Christmas D&D episode. But overall it's felt meh. I think it's because the guy's are becoming more settled in life. Leonard's epic pursuit of Penny is now a mostly mutual relationship (he still seems way more into her than vice versa) Howie and Bernadette are married and having only minor spats that get resolved quickly. The Shamy is Blossoming (heh see what I did there) and now even Raj has some sort of relationship.
Oh crap! This may be the point in the series where they bring in a Cousin Oliver or else Sheldon has to jump a shark! NOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I'm trying not to be too negative because over at Television Without Pity they never have anything good to say and make it sound like the show completely sucks. I just found this particular episode a little blah. Ha, this is so true. I've noticed that they take this show too seriosuly. After the episode where Sheldon spanks Amy, some of the TWoP posters were up in arms because Shelly is so "child-like" and he doesn't always realize the implications of his actions so therefore the spanking was like a form of abuse (with Amy as the abuser). My eyes rolled back so hard I probably looked like one of those junior high students in the episode last night - "like, seriously?" Anyway, I also enjoyed Lucy and Raj's texting dates. I've never heard of prom websites before - do these things actually exist? I also liked that Sheldon had the sense to call Amy and Bernadette so that they could impart some words of wisdom to the young girls.

Yeah, that was ridiculous. There are also several posters who are gravely offended and upset by the show's "ongoing abuse of animals." They take major issue with Amy's monkey/addiction study (which was the funniest thing in last week's episode) and think Penny (and her father) are horrible human beings because they fish. You are definitely taking things too seriously if you are getting angry at a sitcom character over a joke about fishing.
