I thought last night's episode was pretty weak. This season has been pretty up and down. I think there has been too much focus on Raj who is my least favorite character and not enough Penny/Sheldon scenes. My favorite episode is from this season though where Sheldon has to talk to the HR rep about sexual harassment. That was hysterical. I'd love to see the gang have to go to Sensitivity course or deal with HR again.

Ha, this is so true. I've noticed that they take this show too seriosuly. After the episode where Sheldon spanks Amy, some of the TWoP posters were up in arms because Shelly is so "child-like" and he doesn't always realize the implications of his actions so therefore the spanking was like a form of abuse (with Amy as the abuser). My eyes rolled back so hard I probably looked like one of those junior high students in the episode last night - "like, seriously?" Hee - I fell on the floor laughing during that scene. I predict that episode wins Mayim Bialik the Emmy. A poster on another site went to the taping of that episode, and said the spanking took like ten minutes of filming, and Jim and Mayim were laughing between takes. My favorite episode is from this season though where Sheldon has to talk to the HR rep about sexual harassment. That was hysterical. I'd love to see the gang have to go to Sensitivity course or deal with HR again. The "Egg Salad Equivalency" episode was the best so far this season, and the awesome Regina King gets to reprise her role as HR rep in a few weeks. Kripke will be in the episode too.

Last night's was classic Sheldon. I love when he acts like a giant kid. (Although that one episode where Leonard and Penny were sharing him like a couple of divorced parents was a bit much) But having so much fun organizing Howard's closet that he didn't want to leave is good.
It was also sweet that even though Sheldon betrayed Howie trust, he was able to solve the problem- through Physics! I guess the whole point is that we'll never really know the truth, but I tend to think it was Amy's version that was the right one. Raj's was very detailed too, but the letter didn't look solid enough to have been a card.
But then again, the guy was enough of a bastard in abandoning his family that maybe he did send Howard the map to One Eyed Willie's treasure.

Sheldon specifically said it was a "letter" when he was holding it. I got the idea that only Amy, Leonard & Bernardette gave viable options.
It was a very good episode. BBT has always been up and down - even in the first few seasons there were always a few dud episodes mixed in with really good ones.

I liked Leonard's version the best, but I'm thinking the gang had Bernadette give the true version, as she's Howard's wife. Anyway, it was a good episode, and Penny looked smokin' in her little black dress. This week's annual PaleyFest (held at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills) included a discussion panel of TBBT cast and creators. Hulu has posted the entire discussion (with some ad breaks, sorry), with questions from the live audience, and folks watching in various theaters around the country. Lots of laughter, and "teases" about upcoming episodes.

Bernadette's version was the letter with the picture? I didn't see a picture when Sheldon had the letter.I'm not sure who's version was Howard dad was in the audience when Howard graduated..I'm leaning towards that one.

That was Amy's and that's the one I was leaning towards too. But I could see it being Bernadette's just because she is his wife and maybe would want dibs on the real story. I rewatched last week's with my mom because she had missed it- and this go 'round I was kinda disturbed about how the guys so instantly fetished the Disney Princesses. I mean, Howard and Bernadette had obviously planned something since he seemed to have an idea she might be Cinderella- but why did he want her dressed as Cinderella? Barbarella I could see- But why Cinderella? And then Leonard stripping the instant he saw Penny as Sleeping Beauty... I don't know- I just can't picture the Disney Princesses as ever being on any of the guys' radars as a fantasy... except maybe Raj and him I'd half expect his fantasy to BE a Disney Princess. Esp. after how he gushed about Prom to his date. The only Princesses I can imagine these guys being into is Leia... and maybe Xena.

(A card, on the other hand, would not be mistaken for a letter.) Somebody on TwoP suggested that the reason Sheldon had to ask Howard about it was because he wasn't sure whether he should file it under "Photos of Wolowitz family before father left forever." Thanks, PearlySweetcake for the Paley link. It's taking me forever to get through it. Eight ad breaks? Jeez.

For what it's worth, I thought that Amy's was the one from the letter too.
Mayim Bialik is really great in this role, well probably in any role (having only seen Beaches once, and Blossom a long while back). My favorite line from last night was when she told Raj "If you'd let me pierce your brain, with a hot needle, in the right place, you'd be happy all the time"...LOVE it!
And I also agree that Sheldon's time in the closet, "awww just five more minutes?", was awesome in it's childlike accuracy.
