Her name is pronounced "L'Heery" but spelled Laoghaire The book fans like to call her "Leghair" or "Legwhore." Best comment on the changeling: "I'm glad the fake baby from American Sniper is getting more work." I meant to write Leery... but typed Larry. Oops. Still hate her.

You know I really think it's time Claire start listening to Jamie when he says, "Claire, don't do the thing!" Claire just does not understand the world she's in and Jamie does. Also, Claire seems to forget she came time traveled through rocks. She might want to be a wee bit less snotty when it comes to local lore.
I laughed at loud when the duke asked Jamie not to tell Claire how he got hurt. The duke wisely doesn't want to piss Claire off!
Laoghaire needs therapy. It's possible she has convinced herself Claire really is a witch but she really just wants Claire out of the way because she thinks she can get Jamie. Jamie hasn't helped matters with his, "I took an oath!" That just feeds Laoghaire's delusion Jamie really wants her but is too honorable to abandon Claire.

Kind of like Scarlett O'Hara and Ashley (though Laoghaire is no Scarlett!)

I agree with Claire needing to listen to Jamie, it is his century not hers. She is lucky she is so beautiful or she would have burned within the first 48 hours.
Claire, you have just been through the 18th century legal system. I don't care how nice Jamie is and how hot the sex is, touch that stone. Jamie could die, then what would you do?

A gut wrenching episode. However, I felt it was a little misleading. The last scene with Gellis makes you believe one thing happened, but book readers know that storyline is not over ( unless they deviate substantially from the books). As for the end with Claire and Jaime, when they cut to black, an initiated viewer might have questions: Did Claire try to go thru the stones and fail? Or did she just want to stay with Jamie? (In the book the answer is pretty clear).

I really enjoyed this episode I too was wondering if Claire tried and failed when touching the stone, which would be a little terrifying for her, she likes her life with Jamie now but in her mind if something would happen to him she could always just go touch the stone.

I think she had made her choice before he brought her to the stones. When Jamie asked her if she was ready to go home, she clearly thought he was referring to Lallybroch and didn't seem too torn when she said yes. I love that she told Jamie her story. I've seen people on Twitter commenting that it seemed weird he would believe her that easily. But he clearly grew up around stories of witchcraft and ghosts. He had just asked her in all (cute) earnestness if she wasn't a witch after all. So I didn't find it too crazy that he believed her. Also, the man is in love :-) did you see his tears when she came back?
I'm not a fan of lengthy trial scenes but I loved how they did it here. The last scene between Geillis and Claire was awesome only to be topped by Geilis' sacrifice. I want to know more about her now, dammit!

I knew the outcome and I still cried when they said goodbye at the stones. Ron Moore said there was a long voice over for Claire explaining her decision, but they thankfully left it out. And yes, I love that big, tough Jamie cries like a baby when he thinks he's going to lose her. That whole episode was well done.
"Looks like I'm going to a f$&@?g barbecue." Loved that!

I wish Claire and Geillis could have talked more that girl knows how to make an entrance and a exit.

For some reason, I thought tonight was the season finale. It's not!
I liked the dynamic of Jenny and Ian and will enjoy learning more about them. As for naked Jamie- Thank you Starz! As for little Jack.... wow. I was not expecting a flacid penis tonight.
We should have known Jack Randall couldn't get it up.....
