Yes, I really want to like Liz, but my eyes rolled several times last week. How does she still have a job? She disappeared in the middle of a case to deal with Tom. The fact she won't be reprimanded places her firmly in the Mary Sue realm. They need to make Liz's specialness more palatable for this premise to continue to work. Red is fleshed out, even if we don't know everything. They are adding layers to Ressler. Dembe is perfect and he rarely says anything. The weak link is Liz.

Good ep last night. Dembe continues to crack me up. High as a kite and eating ice cream of the carton. Nice.
I feel absolutely no sympathy for Red. I know it hurt him to kill Sam and that it was a mercy killing, but...it also served the purpose of keeping his secret. Liz should be disgusted with him, but I know that'll only last until the end of the next ep.
Speaking of Liz, it was great to see her actually working and trusting her team. They give her a lot of leeway and she keeps a lot from them. That needs to end since they are putting their lives in each other's hands.
So begins Reesler and Keen. I ain't even mad. They've built that relationship up from reluctant partners, to partners, to friends. Next step, probably next season, will be something more romantic. I'm good with them holding off on that, though. Liz has a lot on her plate. But it's good for her to have one man in her life that isn't constantly lying to her. No matter if it's for her own good.
Cannot wait to find out who's after Red and why. I saw a theory on tumblr that Berlin is actually Liz's father. Red's role in her life is still up in the air.

I still hate Lizzie. I can't even tell if it's her that I hate, the actress or the dumb wig they make her wear.

Okay last night's show had me laughing out loud! I can't decide if the woman who plays Lizzie is a horrible actress or she is just trying to do the best she can with the godawful script. Her brainstorming consisted of writing idiot sentences on a legal pad and crossing them out, and sitting on the floor and having a eureka moment that all of the people on the Blacklist are connected, but she doesn't know how! What the hell was that.
And the resignation that they wouldn't take...puhleeze they would have fired her ass over Tom and then held her for questioning in real life. While I realize this is not real life (and I don't want it to be...that's boring!) it just seemed really ridiculous last night. Why is she so stupid? She couldn't even question the crazy guy without being hostile, how am I supposed to believe she is such a good and special agent? Did Red pull some strings to get her this job? Doctored test scores? Paid off someone in the FBI to hire her? Wouldn't THAT be interesting if the was a plotline of the show, lol. Lizzie discovers secret documents that show she is far, far too stupid to have this job...which can only mean Red put her there to have the FBI at his beck and call! Cue two days of not speaking to Red and her boss begging her not to quit.
Red and Dembe need their own show.

I liked the ep, but they need to tell us why Liz is special because they are getting stuck in Mary Sue territory. I thought they all knew the Blacklist was Red's personal hit list and that they were in fact doing his bidding. I just assumed they knew after he was asking for special favors once they caught these guys.
Right now, Berlin & Tom are proving to be badass mofos. Makes me wonder what Red did to cross him.
I've given up on the wig since IRL Megan Boone's hair is short. Personally think they should have let her keep her real hairstyle. It's cute and wouldn't be so distracting.

I must have bad wigdar because I can't tell it's a wig, so her hair doesn't bother me.
Lizzie is such a freaking dumbass. I can't even start with that.

Am I the only one watching right now? AM I? I need someone to talk about it with!!! I've already had 2 "Oh my gawd" moments!
Okay, so I'm done watching, kind of loved the episode except for the very last scene. Such a cop out. I don't understand why they had to drag the secret out for so long considering we all kind of expected him to be the dad. Props to whoever pointed out that him denying being the father was a double meaning to Red, of course.
Loved that the CIA agent died, I never understood why she was still around anymore. She didn't really add anything to the team, heck, the IT guy did more for them than she ever did. I wish Cooper died too. And Tom, while we're at it, but as I expected, I'm sure they'll prolong his character into next season so he can wreak havoc on Red and Keen.
Over the weekend when I was catching up on my Law&Order SVU episodes and Danny Pino had a shirtless scene, I thought to myself "Has Ressler ever been shirtless?" because I can't remember if he has.

I'm here for you cabbagekid!
I don't know what to make of it, did I like it or was it just soooo predictable? So, duh, Red is her dad. And at first it seemed like a bloodbath but really it was just Resler's partner who was killed, the boss (of course) and Tom (of course) survived. And I was confused at the end, since I thought they all realized it was Berlin who had cut off his own hand.
I think the only mystery to me is how Tom became Berlin's minion, and if he ever cared for Lizzie. Didn't Tom say Berlin found him?
Oh this show! I want it to be better. I guess this is what they mean by "hate watch" lol. I am frustrated but there is just enough of a kernel of a story to make me keep watching, so pardon my bitchiness.

I like that Tom is alive - he's the perfect foil for Lizzie. I'm loving this show, warts and all.
