WhyAreTheyRushingThroughThisWhenTheyHadSuchTrashyMaterial? Even the editing is rushed. Was Christopher's too good to be true Southern Cheerleader Up with People Hurray for Everybody Wannabe Fiancee in the book? I don't remember her.
And none of these men are as hot as Ian, Dr. Paul, and Bart were in the book.

There was no fiancee in the book. Also, Henny couldn't talk, Julian was Cathy's husband, not just her boyfriend, and too many other differences to begin to list. I don't think they even read the book before making this movie.

I will say, Heather Graham seemed to be enjoying herself and I thought the casting was pretty good. They really did all look related. Corrine, Cathy & Carrie especially. Heather Graham really did have fun with that role. I'd settle for a movie just about Corrine as long as Heather continues to ham it up. Heather Graham is the right age to be among those of us that read the series as young teens. I wonder if she read the books and gets the character as the hot mess as she really is.

I wonder why they didn't make this into a mini-series, or a limited run series, to really get into the tawdry, soapy trashiness of it. Maybe combine FITA/POTW into a 12 episode series? As it is, the plot points, especially in POTW, just seemed like bullet points. I remember Cathy being obsessed with getting revenge on her mother throughout POTW, but in the movie that really didn't kick in until the last quarter. And there's no way fans of the book will ever be satisfied with an hour and a half movie, there's just too much plot to get through.

I didn't make it that far. If this part kicked in sooner I probably would have kept watching. As someone only vaguely familiar with the books I expected was a very trashy fun movie, not a bunch of boring ballet scenes.

I remember that If There Be Thorns was my least favorite book in the series because there was no sex in it.
I would love to have a watching party with you guys...I don't know anyone around me who was into these books the way I was. Sigh...
