I am almost 45, so this could be why I don't understand. This applies to a lot of things going on around me. *Waves cane* Can I join in with the cane waving!

Its understandable that she hasn't had much of a public reaction. What do you even say? It's one thing to give a statement on a rumor about some guy she is dating or some other fluff, but I can't imagine her PR team has ever thought of a scenario like this. She probably tweeted on her own out of shock, and her team is trying to come up with something respectful. Which is hard, because she will get criticized no matter what she says/does. I know nothing about her except she is pretty young herself. I hope she has supportive people around her. I agree. She's probably as much in shock as everyone affected, but how dare she not phrase her sympathy and condolences in a fully grammatical and properly punctuated manner. /s I don't blame her for cancelling her next few concerts either. I hope she takes some time for herself.

Survivors' guilt is a powerful emotion, adding in the fact that it was her concert, I can only imagine the pain she must be feeling. As far as further statements, it's possible that the authorities have asked her not to make any at this point, who knows. It's just terribly sad.

I heard a very brief interview with Oasis Noel Gallagher who wondered how she's dealing with it as they were her fans, her gig, he added he would be at a loss as how he would handle situation, I think all artists would find itit very difficult to cope with.

If true, that is incredibly kind. So heartbreaking because most were kids.

This has zero to do with the tragedy, but (old person question): her fans are called "Arianators" ? I just read yesterday that Selena Gomez's fans are called "Selenators" I don't get where that comes from. I think I would stump for "Arianolas". OT: After reading an article in Vogue, I still have no idea why Selena Gomez is at the fame level she's at. I am almost 45, so this could be why I don't understand. Speaking as someone older, Selena's fame comes in part from her role on the Disney Channel show, Wizards of Waverly Place. After that she dated Bieber off and on and so their romance was often in the young press. She has been a fairly high ranking member of Taylor Swift's girl squad. She knows how to keep herself visiblem, thus staying relevant. As for Ariana Grande, I feel bad this happened to her, but then I would feel bad it happened to anyone. Hopefully she and all the other survivors of the bombing can overcome the trauma.

I remember when something like this happened with The Who, a bunch of fans were crushed to death rushing to get unreserved seats at a concert. They went into seclusion for a year and it affected Pete Townsend deeply. (I don't remember if it was before or after Keith Moon's death)

It was after. I was going to see the Who in Cleveland on the tour that was cancelled after Moonie died. That tour never even went on sale. Cincinnati was during the first tour with Kenny Jones.
The band was not told until after the show, because the authorities knew they'd cancel, and the crowd might have done more damage at that point. That is one of the reasons Pete was so affected by it.
