Back to the movie: Would azaleaprince and princess, age 5 and 7, like it? They love action and superheroes.

There is a bit of language in it and violence, but it depends on the kid, at the showing we went to there were several kids that age in the theater.

My 7 and 9 year old nephews loved it, they're really into the Marvel movies.

Back to the movie: Would azaleaprince and princess, age 5 and 7, like it? They love action and superheroes. It's PG-13 so there's cursing (no F-bombs but the word whore comes up plus other lesser curses like "a-hole" --they say it like that). A lot of bloodless violence. No sex. A ton of action (physical and starship shooting). Maybe it was my theater but it was incredibly LOUD; I was more worried about that than the language. There's a bunch of 80s references they won't get but a lot of goofiness they'll def find funny. There were 4 yr olds in my show, which I thought was way too young, but if your kids are on the mature side they'll prob be ok.

I appreciate the way they folded in the use of older music as an important plot point... it's a good strategy for bringing the generations together. These are all songs I already own in my mp3s, but I could not get my 16 year old kid to give that music a chance. But hey, they use it in one major blockbuster and now he's got the Awesome Mixtape playlist playing all the time. So I can thank Marvel for broadening my son's musical tastes.
(If you think about it, there might be 20 more mixtapes back on earth just waiting for Peter Quill... there is more than enough awesome old music they can revisit.)

I finally saw this. It reminded me a little bit of the '80s Flash Gordon movie, in a really fun way. That Queen song would not have been remotely out of place on the mix tape!

This was really fun. Chris Pratt was great but I thought the raccoon stole the show (and this isn't because I love me some B Coops)

I loooved Rocket, and I assumed he'd be the most annoying character going in. He was so angry & passionate, lol.

From everything I had read and heard, nearly all loved Rocket and Groot, and yup, so did I.
