I saw it. I enjoyed the first and I enjoyed this one as well. I don't love them but I like them. Very much a story about family and I ended up liking quite a few characters that I was a lukewarmish on from the first. The makeup is amazing.
For people who haven't seen it yet, there are 5 end credit scenes.

Yes - don't leave until ALL the credits run.

I enjoyed it, too, and I remember really enjoying the first one, since it was so much fun and snarky and colorful, and had a very attractive cast with great chemistry. And I enjoyed this, too, but as it went along, I realized I remember little of the first one. Spoilers hence: {Plot Points}I didn't remember that, uh, Zoe Saldana and the Blue One were sisters. I thought Gregg Henry was StarLord's father, so that was his stepdad, I guess? I didn't remember Drax' Foot in Mouth Conversational style. I didn't remember that, uh, Blue Micheal Rooker is actually one of the good guys. And I think I missed most of the cameos, except Howard the Duck, Stan Lee, and maybe... Jeff Goldblum, although that could have been the trailer for Thor. I did enjoy the gratiutous Shirtless!Chris Pratt, who seems to have gained even more beefy muscle, and Baby Groot and {Spoiler}the bomb may be the funniest thing I see this year. And of course, the soundtrack was fantastic. All of the post credit sequences except one seem to be just little character extras. I was expectind some connection with the next two, Spiderman and Thor. But I did enjoy it.

I did not catch that. Gregg Henry has always looked older, but really? Oops! That does explain things.

We saw it yesterday and really enjoyed it Two things that kind of took me out of it but more due to my issues with digital enhancement of film {nowadays}Kurt Russell's face was so bizarre to me in the flashbacks, like enlarged besides smoothed out. AND did anyone find Chris Pratt's close ups odd in the scene where he is possibly becoming "godlike"? He had no wrinkles/laugh lines which he normally does. I put a spoiler in here but not sure why it doesn't say that I did?

Regarding your first spoiler, I heard the actor say the makeup team was involved. I'm guessing if they used a combination of practical effects and CGI, that would account for the weirdness.

We wondered why {Spoiler}in the dioramas showing Ego's quest to find a mate who would produce a godly child, it was always Kurt Russell. Wouldn't you make yourself look like a squid to mate with a squid? Overall, it was fun, but a little bit too jokey for me. I did like Yondu's character arc very much. At some point my younger child said, "Isn't this the same plot as Ice Age, but the baby is the galaxy?" His older brother said that almost all the Marvel movies are variations on Ice Age.

Finally got to see this yesterday. I remember before the movie came out, various Marvel geeks were worrying about the movie having too much Baby Groot. Well, now having seen it myself- there was not nearly enough Baby Groot! I could have watched a whole movie of just Baby Groot. But that's me. Overall, it was enjoyable. More enjoyable than the last Comic Book related movie I saw (which was Suicide Squad) It didn't get me as emotionally as the first movie did, but I did get misty eyed a couple times. Kurt Russell's face make-up/CGI altered face was way too distracting in the beginning. This was the time to seek out a 'looks enough like a young Kurt Russell to be passable' actor I think, rather than doing what they did. But other wise the effects in the rest of the movie were good. I had to pee so bad at the end and so didn't watch all the credits. My friend who stayed behind told me that in one end credit sequence Baby Groot is now Teenage Groot and all mopey. This saddens me because again- I need more Baby Groot!!

Now streaming on Netflix! YAY! I'm looking forward to seeing it again when I have time to sit down and watch it. In the meantime, this is my new favorite movie mashup!
