I really hope the prosecutors decide against a retrial.

He’s been released from prison, which is good news. It sounds like they may or may not go for a retrial (they have 30 days to decide).
I listened to the “Undisclosed” podcast update - I love Rabia, but of course she’s biased, so I like hearing Susan and Colin’s take. Both of them read the filing as the prosecutors being “Meh” on a retrial, which surprised Rabia. I’m guessing if they find evidence that points to him, they will. If not, they will focus on the other suspects they have.

Apparently the latest round of DNA testing excluded him, as previous DNA testing had done. I’m wondering if with new suspects in the mix, the DNA will help with a new prosecution.

I really hope he has a great support system helping him transition into life on the outside. I suspect he does, but even with lots of support it has got to be hard.

Rachel Maddow's got a new podcast out called Ultra--story line is reminiscent of the recent Oath Keepers sedition trial. Sounds interesting...

While I’m glad that Adnan has been released, I also feel terrible for Hae Min Lee’s family. I hope that in all the celebrations her family is remembered and her case isn’t forgotten. She deserves justice and hopefully this is the beginning of that pursuit and not the end.

Rabia Chaudry consistently talks about justice for Hae, so I think the pressure will stay on. If they have DNA evidence that is great.

While I’m glad that Adnan has been released, I also feel terrible for Hae Min Lee’s family. I hope that in all the celebrations her family is remembered and her case isn’t forgotten. She deserves justice and hopefully this is the beginning of that pursuit and not the end. Fortunately, there's no statute of limitations on homicide, and the DNA can lead to a suspect. True justice for Hae Min Lee is both freeing an innocent man (can Adnan sue the state of Maryland for wrongful incarceration?) and finding the guilty one. I have my suspect, but will avoid libel (*fingers crossed to enter law school*).
