I am a Brit by birth and I totally love ricky's sense of humor. Sometimes I find myself gasping and laughing at the stuff he says.
Karl cracks me up. He says out loud what most tourists are probably thinking.

I don't think his new stand-up special on HBO is as funny as his first, but it's still pretty amusing. Thank you. I love all things Ricky and this includes that first HBO special. However (not to be all you-kids-get-off-my-lawn), but the second was too f-word laden, which was disappointing because he's way, way too smart for that. Perhaps the audience wasn't responding well to his prepared material. And maybe I missed it, but does Ricky think obesity is solely an American issue? The Brits are a chubby lot, too!

Like Magho said, Karl is one of the most unintentionally funny people alive. "An Idiot Abroad" has been hilarious. I can't believe this is Ricky. You just don't look at him and think "I bet he was in a new wave/synth pop band in the 80s." But I don't totally hate the song.

He's said as much on one of his Letterman appearances.
I really enjoyed seeing him on The Office last week. Although it did make me a little sad to think of David Brent still looking for a better job, because I like the way the Christmas Special ended for that character.
I have to say, he's looking fantastic now that he's gotten into shape.
He's already said he wouldn't do the Globes again, hasn't he? I wouldn't blame him for not wanting to. Hollywood needs to get a sense of humor. He did was he was paid to do. I'd love to see him back, but I know it probably won't happen.

He even frikkin' sounds like Bowie... even his teeth are jacked up just like Bowie's. That blew my mind... But he can't lip sync for shit. Edited to add : Ahhhh! Bowie sings to the Pathetic Little Fat Man! So.Meta.

If you like "An Idiot Abroad," listen to the podcasts. AM and I still say "Clive Warren" to each other and crack up.

I saw him do live stand up last year. He doesn't think obesity is just an American issue. He made fun of us chubby Brits too. Since one of his first appearances on TV, on the 11 o'Clock Show, he has always used bad language. If anything, I think he swears a lot less now on TV. In stand up live he swore a fair bit, but that wasn't at the expense of his material. He was great live. His friend is Karl Pilkington, who is one of the most unintentionally funny people in the world. If you find that show funny, listen to Gervais's podcast with Stephan Merchant and Pilkington. Hilarious. ITA. They are hilarious. I have them from when Karl first started talking, when he was producing the XFM Shows. I still give them a listen every now and then because they are so funny.
