I searched and couldn't find a thread. I love this man. *SIGH* And I cannot WAIT until the next season of Extras starts in the U.S. In the meanwhile, they should be updating the Extras website with info from the set. I thought I had read that CTC and Madonna were going to appear on S2, but thankfully, neither is, according to the guest star list.

What a coinkdink. I literally just came from watching a few clips of him on youtube. From a stand up act called Animals. OMG, funny as shit! Extras - season one - is just playing now in Canada. Love it.

I was worried he would spend the rest of his life typecast as David Brent - it is good to see his character in Extras be so different, without losing the wit.
I saw him this weekend in the trailer for the new Ben Stiller movie set in a museum, it looks kind of promising. All the exibits come to life at night. I hope there will be dancing ...

Bumping since the Golden Globe thread is now in the Departed Section --
Guess who has been reportedly asked back to host next year?
Gee, I wonder if HFPA/NBC are just acting all huffy and being like "you've gone too far!" while hiring the one person they know will generate ratings and then people talking about the ceremony because of "the controversy."
It's fantastic news, though. He is hysterical.
I missed his cameo on the U.S. Office.
I don't think his new stand-up special on HBO is as funny as his first, but it's still pretty amusing.

He's behind a show on the Science channel, An Idiot Abroad. He and his friend send their unsophisticated and woefully ignorant colleague abroad to experience culture shock. I like the idea that your typical ignorant American isn't the subject of this show. I just saw so many darn commercials for this show this past weekend while watching this channel.

His friend is Karl Pilkington, who is one of the most unintentionally funny people in the world. If you find that show funny, listen to Gervais's podcast with Stephan Merchant and Pilkington. Hilarious.

Oh good, he'll host again? The only reason to watch!

We are watching "An Idiot Abroad" and Karl is hilarious (and spot on, sometimes). Of course, I am such a Gervais fangirl, I would watch anything that features his hyena laugh.

It's so cute how Ricky laughs hysterically at everything Karl says. Karl is funny, but he's not always that funny. You can tell Ricky really loves the guy.

I just watched a clip of An Idiot Abroad where Karl is in India during the Holi, the Hindu festival. He keeps getting pummeled with colors and has no clue why. It was frikkin' hilarious.
