An Idiot Abroad is so funny I woke up my dog from another room. Ricky has tormented Karl with China and it's holes in the ground for toilets it's just o.k. wall, Jordan's 8 hour camel rides followed by sleeping in a cave, and next week Mexico.

An Idiot Abroad is my new favorite show! I got my sister to watch it and she loves it too! All we do now is say Karl's lines to each other. Is there gonna be a season 2? There's more out there for Karl to explore than just the 7 wonders of the world.

I'm glad that the cave turned out to be pretty nice, since Karl was dreading it so much. I wonder if Ricky knew it was going to be decent or if it was an attempt to torture him that didn't turn out as planned.

I wonder what they'll do in Mexico, since it seems like it would be a bit of a break after India. I mean, Mexico certainly has its depressing poverty in parts (and you certainly pass through some of those places on the way to the Mayan ruins), but it doesn't seem quite as intense as India.

According to their facebook page, yes. They announced it this past week- yay!

One of these days, Karl is going to snap and kill Ricky, and no one will blame him.


They got him to come back and do another season of "An Idiot Abroad" by telling him that he can choose where he goes, in a "bucket list" kind of situation. One of the things Karl wanted to do was go whale watching, so what do they do? They send him to Alaska and stick him on a working fishing vessel.

You'd think he'd know better by now, but you can't help but feel sorry for the guy. I'm still totally going to watch him suffer, though.

As long as it's on film and shown on the series, I have no problem with it. I'd buy popcorn for that.

I think Karl is savvier (maybe only slightly so) than people give him credit for. I was watching some of his media appearances on YT, and he was quick to remind them to plug the show/books if they were running out of time.

So is the show for real? I mean, sometimes I think Karl is conveniently naive about things or conveniently touristy.

I think it's for real, but he also knows that his schtick is working, so he isn't trying to change.... if that makes sense.

No one has mentioned Ricky's show that has been on HBO with Ricky,Carl and Steve. It starts with the three of them coming in a door sitting at a table then they are animated talking in real time and they just let Carl do his magic? I love it most of all. It was on before Idiots Abroad so I was already in love with Carl. It is not what you guys are referring to as the podcast is it? I used to watch The Office on BBC (was it called that?). I will keep watching reruns till they return, can not come soon enough for me.
added: Ricky, Louie CK who I love, Chris Rock and Jerry Seinfeld will have what might be a series on HBO called "Talking Funny"
