The middle little smockery is ridiculously excited for this movie. Since not much but resigned indifference wafts from that corner, I join everyone else in wishing that it really not suck. I've read/watched nearly a dozen of reviews from early screenings, and most have been rave reviews. I've only heard of minor complaints about the story structure. Otherwise, it's said to be hilariously profane and violent. And apparently it's a HARD R, verging on NC 17. Decapitations, disembowelings, loads of head shots, and male and female nudity. We also get a shot of Ryan's Reynold if you get my drift. [/completely lame]

boo... I'm over the ultra violent/mega profane. Maybe I'll catch it on cable.

I've heard it compared to Kick Ass in terms of violence, profanity, and overall tone. If that's the case, I'm cautiously optimistic since I liked both Kick Ass movies.

We just got back from seeing it. Super violent but hilarious. Probably one of the best Marvel movies I've seen. Better than the Wolverines and most of the X-Men flicks for sure. Ryan finally has a winner. The theatre was packed to the rafters as well.

I liked it, although some of the humor was trying a bit hard for me. Ryan Reynolds was good. At the end, I couldn't help wondering how things would have turned out {Spoiler}if his girlfriend had been the one who had been horribly disfigured. I think we all know the answer. "Sorry honey, it was nice knowing you. Sit on my face? Ummm... no thank you. How about put this bag over your head." Hell, she could have just gained 20 lbs and that would be enough to make her a freak in Hollywood's eyes. Yeah sorry, these are the things I think about when I watch movies.

I like the fact that not everthing is nice and tidy and everyone is happy at the end like Avengers. Edgy and definitely needed in the Marvel Universe, I hope that Rogue One follows suit and is an edgy Star Wars movie.

For me the issue stands more with Vanessa being {Spoiler}unmutated in the movie. That they chose to focus on Wade I get but still Copycat is a pretty cool mutant in her own right and find the Marvel Universe tends to "damselize" far too many of their kickass female characters. Didn't stop me from enjoying the film but still somewhat annoying.

Saw it tonight and enjoyed the hell out of it. A million times better than the Wolverine movies. And our theater was pretty full for a Sunday 6:20 showing so I am hoping that popularity means sequel.
