I thought it was hilarious, on par with the first. The mid-credits scene is phenomenal!

I can't believe I haven't seen it already. Avoiding spoilers has been nigh impossible. Everyone is raving about the credits. I have to carve out some time to see it tomorrow before I get spoiled.

I am embarrassed to say I JUST saw Deadpool for the first time a few weeks ago. And I can't wait to see #2. Going this weekend!

I just got back from seeing it, and it was meh. I'm already starting to forget it.  A solid C. It was a downgrade from the first in action and humor. I just have two questions about the cameos: 1. Was Brad Pitt Vanisher? And 2. The X-Men cameo included McAvoy as Professor X, Beast, Cyclops, and Quicksilver. I missed the rest because it happened so fast. Anyone know who else was in the room? Josh Brolin was okay. Everyone was just okay. I liked the Basic Instinct tribute. So very gross yet hilarious. And the 4th wall breaks were funny, but everything else was just meh. The first was more watchable repeatedly. This I'll give another viewing just to catch the tidbits I missed. But that's it. I saw reviews saying DP2 was better than Infinity War. HA! In what universe? |

I must be that rare bird who loves all types of movies, but just doesn't like the 4th wall breaks and the humor of Deadpool.

I really enjoyed it, the deadpan humor and 4th wall breaks are right up my alley.
I did find some of the fight scenes interminable and may have napped through a few of them (damn recliner seats get me every time, especially now that I bring a neck pillow, lol), but otherwise it was a lot of fun.
The opener was crazy, I didn't even realize it was still pre-credits when all that went down.

Late as hell to this party but hubby and I watched the first Deadpool last night. Def not a kids' movie. I liked his humor but man, I could not live with that banter all day long. Loved the use of sex and holidays in the "time passes" montage. Loved the meta comments and breaking of 4th wall. Good decision to cut back and forth to keep momentum going cuz it might have been boring and not as funny shown in linear narrative. Plan to watch the second one later this week if we have time!
