In case you missed it, there is leaked test footage that was used to pitch the film. I was psyched after seeing that last year, but now this is happening. I cannot wait to see this thing! Full disclosure: I have two friends working on it, so I'm simultaneously pimping their project while geeking out at what should be a really entertaining film. Sadly, I don't think that this will result in me getting any juicy gossip out of it to share with y'all as they are both über professional. But the movie looks great, and they are both really nice people so I'm hoping it is wildly successful. |

As much as Ryan Reynolds has flopped lately, his Deadpool was one of the really bright spots in that Wolverine movie. I'm also optimistic!

It's a shame they waited so long to do this, it feels like they should have jumped on Deadpool back when the character was on Wolverine. A 7 year gap seems a little long to me to continue a storyline. Although... I guess maybe they were waiting for the world to forget Green Lantern?

The films being closer in time would have been best, but they were waiting for funding. The script has been done for awhile. At least that is my limited understanding of how this has gone.
Good news is that so far this film will be rated R so not watered down PG-13 for this twisted mutant. :-)

I'm going to see it on Thursday with a group that I wrangled together. A friend of mine (not connected to the film) saw it already and really enjoyed it. I think that we will all be entertained.

The middle little smockery is ridiculously excited for this movie. Since not much but resigned indifference wafts from that corner, I join everyone else in wishing that it really not suck.
