Honestly the only romance I want to see is Scarlet Witch and Vision since that is in the comics. Besides, Paul Bettany as Vision is fine as fuck!
I read on ONTD a comment that Marvel seems to have the superior heroes while DC has the superior villains. I couldn't agree more. Maybe Thanos can finally feel like someone menacing in the future?

I loved the Jurassic World trailer. People never learn to stop f*cking with dinosaurs, do they?

Comic book site stole my pictures and claimed them as an exclusive. FU, buddy! This is why we can't have nice things. Anyway...I was wrong. My set probably isn't Wakanda. It's Johannesburg. I forgot the Hulk/Iron Man fight took place there.

I liked the movie but I didn't love it. I guess Hawkeye is supposed to have retired from the Avengers now, living his idyllic life on the farm. Married fine but what about Mockingbird and did his being deaf in the comics get retconned? I think Nat got the short end here. She does everything these guys do without the superpowers and still they manage to treat her like she's less than they are and not really worthy of being there. What the hell was this whole lullaby crap? I didn't like the Nat/Bruce romance. At all. It seemed forced and only there for the others to make crude jokes about. "Hide the zucchini"? Really? I'm tired of Tony Stark. Epically tired of him like I'm tired of the million Batman and Spiderman reincarnations. They BORE me. Bruce. Enough with the angst. Your situation isn't going to change so how about you own it. Vision and the twins made this for me. Cap and Thor were good too. I thought Ultron was a great villain.

So did "Aunt Nat" give her little diamond arrow necklace to Hawkeye's daughter? Am I supposed to ignore all the Black Widow/Hawkeye subtext in the previous movies?
Other than that, loved it. I still wanna be Black Widow when I grow up.

I have to give them credit the casting of Hawkeye's wife, they chose someone his age instead of a girl in their early 20s.

On reflection, I think the Black Widow romance seemed more jarring than it might have been without the majority of ScarJo's shots being close ups. (Since she was pregnant during filming.) More typically action shots would've toned it down.

Am I supposed to ignore all the Black Widow/Hawkeye subtext in the previous movies? Yes. Evidently Joss got mad that people interpreted the incredibly obvious chemistry and affection between Hawkeye and Widow as potentially romantic and had to completely destroy any possibility of this by loading him up with a pregnant wife and two kids and happy platonic Aunt Nat. It was an anvil and it felt like one. The fact that he then paired her up with the Avenger she had the least chemistry with AND focused on her fertility...that was just shitty writing.

Definitely an anvil. I was sitting in my seat at the theatre and I actually got pissed off when Mr. Bruce "Man Pain" Banner went to get Nat out of the cell. His "you've done enough" speechifying made me so angry. Maybe HE's the one who needed the Hawkeye pep talk about what it is to be a fucking Avenger. You don't check out when people need your help, sir. You pull up your big boy pants and you get the job done. Nat doesn't need you to protect her, she knows her worth. Asshole.
