Yeah, well... nice sentiment, but you know where tax evasion is going to land you. Her accountants aren't going to be doing this, I'm sure.

I'm not a big fan of tax evasion either but she's not Joe the Plumber or some other irresponsible doofus. She's making a specific bold statement and I support her and if it lands her in jail it'll bolster the cause (not that I want her to spend time behind bars).

I couldn't tell from her blog if she actually is not going to pay her state taxes, or if she is just making a point. I have a feeling it's the latter, but it would be all kinds of awesome if she really did withhold her taxes as a big FU to the people that voted for P8.
I totally have her same feelings when she talks about how she wonders what goes through someone's mind when they vote to take away someone's rights. I mean, how can someone do that? How does it feel to live with that kind of hate? It's one thing to vote for a party who is anti-gay rights; maybe there are other issues that are more important to you or whatever. But it's quite another thing when you are voting on the issue of gay rights only...and you vote to take away their rights. How can you do that?

Gays are not victims here; they are a direct threat to the traditional Christian lifestyle. God will judge and punish us for accepting them. It's amazing the similarities between this view and that of extremist Muslims.

You have to wonder how public reaction would turn if they started throwing gay folks in prison for not paying taxes.

I think fear plays a big part. They're all a bunch of cowards who are afraid that if they accept gays, God will be mad and punish them. I know this because my dad is exactly like that. Fear makes people do terrible things.

Traditional Christian marriage according to St. Paul had wives subject to their husbands and wearing head coverings. I don't see this in the Morman or Evangalical/Fundie churches. In fact with the Fundies I know, the wife runs the family. This group thus is not practicing traditional Christian marriage either.

I totally agree with her.
Just once, I'd like for someone to explain to me what is wrong with gays getting married and NOT use the Bible or God or religion.

Hell, I'd settle for them using the Bible. The Bible has enough material to shoot down their arguments. Of course, the argument for gay marriage should remain non-religious, but if they want to rumble on their turf, so be it.
