Does anyone have a killer pineapple pie recipe? Like, "I was atheist, but this pie makes me believe in all the gods and woodsprites." Or, in lieu of a recipe, can anyone tell me about a transformative pineapple pie they have eaten?

I do not and have not but what a great idea. I love pineapple!
What say you all to savory pie? I have a simple but amazingly delicious recipe for a rustic veg tart. The crust is at least half the splendor - it is so very light and flaky. Barely there. The base is sautéed onions and garlic, then you lay sliced tomatoes on top. Even with less than stellar tomatoes, this was lovely.
(It has no top crust, just the lower crust folded up a bit around the edges. Actually, I guess it's a galette.)

Recipe, please! I love savory pies. I haven't got a trusted recipe for pineapple pie, but I saw this online and it seems to be getting a lot of love from other bakers. Very simple filling of mostly pineapple and sugar. Other pies I've seen have coconut in it, but I like the theoretical simplicity of this one.

I love savory pies and galettes! I have an aversion to the term "hand pie" because it sounds stupid, but I get the principal...and it's called a pasty, no? Your version sounds delicious, madangela. Thanks for the recipe, Oxynia--I think I'll experiment this weekend. I'm torn between the straightforward fruit version and a buttermilk variety. Someone suggested the million dollar Cool Whip and cream cheese type, but I'll pass for the moment.

There is a local pie company that makes a lobster pot pie that is seriously delicious. If I weren’t feeling so lazy I’d go buy one right now.

There is a local pie company that makes a lobster pot pie that is seriously delicious. I suddenly had flashbacks to when I lived in the Boston area, about the Hilltop Steakhouse. It's closed now, but it was an institution back in the day. It was in Saugus, on Route 1 north of Boston, and had a herd of fiberglass cows out front. They made a lobster casserole/pie that was utterly sinful. I love all pie, sweet and savory. I could go for a nice chicken pot pie right now, in fact.

There's a seafood restaurant in downtown Detroit that makes a terrific lobster pastie, with squid ink sauce.

My 8 year old made a pumpkin pie this afternoon by himself (premade crust) and I'm about to go eat a slice!

I had a "pie flight" this weekend--a chocolate cream, cranberry strawberry, and cranberry cheesecake. The first was fine but nothing really remarkable, the second was pretty good, but the third approached religious vision status. Holy mother of bogberries, it was delicious.

Is there a recipe involved? Because seriously, anything involving bogberries AND cheesecake needs to be in my stomach post haste.
