I'm looking through the red carpet photos right now... those ladies have to be freezing. It's 50 degrees outside (and that's frigid in LaLa land). I have no idea how half those people got on the red carpet; Apparently ABC owed some people. I'm still waiting for reviews to come in. Jar-Jar scarred me for life. I cannot take another mediocre film.
JJ Abrams, do not f*ck this up for me.

Totally there for Han. I will probably cry like a baby when he first comes on the screen, like I did when the trailer was released. /hopelesslylame My seven-year-old just finished watching the original trilogy for the first time. She has been meh for months and actively campaigned not to go with the family Friday. Now that she has seen the movies, she is all about it. The force is strong with her.

Yeah we had our almost 5 year old watch Empire over Thanksgiving. He's loved Star Wars itself since last year, and with it being in the news so much it was very important to me that he experience the "I am your father." Moment totally unspoiled. Which he did. Everything else is easy! Except for deciding if we should move to Return of the Jedi next, or do the whole machete thing.

I'm going for Han and Leia and epic space battles.
My brother decided before he even had children that his offspring would be raised as Star Wars fans regardless of their gender. Considering that the oldest one has recently learned how to play the main theme on the trombone, he was successful in his endeavor.

I wasn't here when they watched Empire Strikes Back but MrB said that her reaction was priceless to the big dad reveal. He said that she did a double take and was like, "WHAT!?!?" I do know that she came to me later and said very seriously, "Darth Vader is Luke's dad, Mom." I reacted just as seriously.

I remember when I was in college and it was this rumor going around that Vader was Luke's dad and we were all like, "WTF?" Boy was I shocked when I saw the movie, I was like "damn, she was right!" This was WAY before the Internet, and even then stuff got around.
