Sick of this movie already I am.
Sorry, I tried, but just not a fan.

Sorry, I tried, but just not a fan. Do or do not. There is no try! (Sorry, couldn't resist ;-) My BFF and I are planning to see this either this weekend or early next week- just depending on what works with her schedule. I find I'm more anticipating the fun time with BFF than the movie itself. I'm excited to see it, but I can't get TOO hyped. I let myself get overly hyped about Phantom Menace and those godawful 'Special Editions' back in the day and had my heart broken. I'm thinking this one HAS to be automatically better just for the JJ Abrams influence over George Lucas's tinkering. But again, I'm just anticipating a fun time at the movies with mah best friend and not anything more epic than that. At best, I will be blown away. At worst, it'll still be a fun day (there will be dining at Panda Express involved!!!) As for everything Star Wars this and Star Wars that- I'm already fatigued by seeing the merch EVERYWHERE and that all commercials have some sort of tie-in. But it's been great to watch Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher do the talk show circuit. Daisy Ridley and John Boyega seem like fun people and I'm glad they're getting face time. Stuff like this is pure magic. And I'm kinda glad it's finally come. And I will also be glad when I can take my fingers out of my ears and stop avoiding all spoilers. Whew!

I have watched that four times and expect myself to watch it probably ten more.

I FINALLY got MissP through the original (ep 4). She isn't as jazzed as I had hoped, but she's game. The main thing is that we are watching my THX LaserDisc editions, so great sound, and the original theatrical cut. This is to reinforce the main point of the canon: Han shot FIRST!
TC: I ordered her a shirt with that emblazoned on the front, for her to wear to the theatre when we go.
Much like my wife slogging through Buffy at my behest, I am insisting MissP must watch the other films first. I must say, that there Machete order looks like a great idea. Also, I hear Danny Trejo in my head saying "Machete don't Menace!"
A buddy and I went to the theater one day while all 6 movies were out (Special editions and prequels). One theater was showing all six, and the start times were such that we started at 10am, and watched 1-6, in order in one sitting. We were FRIED at the end, but proud of our geek-ocity, because the theater manager said we were the only 2 people sick enough to do that to ourselves!

Well, I'm on a total Star Wars high right now. That was AMAZING! Such great, great story-telling and shout outs for the fans. Wasn't so hard after all, it just needed to be out of Lucas's hands.

TTMR and I just got back from seeing it. We both loved it. We really liked the new characters as well as seeing the classic characters. I definitely want to see it again.

I saw it this morning and loved it. I had a huge grin on my face when Han Solo first appeared. I also was struck by how much Carrie Fisher looks like her mother now.

I haven't seen it yet but I've heard great things about it. It makes me wish JJ Abrams had handled the prequels, he would have done such a better job.

I really liked it. It's light-years ahead of those films which shall not be named. I clapped when Han, Chewy, Leia, 3PO & R2 all appeared. There was no Disney opening (I thought that might be awkward). I held my breath during a couple of scenes. I loved the comedic elements. And I saw one storyline coming from a mile away. Once everyone in the galaxy sees it this weekend, we'll talk about it.
