I don't know, if he comes back with a better haircut I would be happy. I trust Patty Jenkins TBH.
And for me, it's no worse than Steve Rogers fooling around with Peggy's great-niece.

They are filming some of this movie in Northern VA - where I live - but not near me and in Georgetown in DC. I read that they were using the now closed and defunct Landmark Mall in Alexandria VA. I thought about going out to see what I can see but then realized I still have not been able to sit all of the way through Wonder Woman yet. LOL.

I finally watched Justice League because it was on HBO, and man, how boring. It is just a CGI slog with a crappy villain and it felt like there were no stakes.
And they clearly cared about “moments” or a certain shot without really establishing any meaning to it. Why the hell was Diana standing on the “justice” statue? Is that what she does on the weekends? Hangs out up there waiting for trouble?
And the first WW movie was so successful I think because they largely avoided that. The fight scenes were largely done by the actors or stunt performers and therefore felt more real and I was more impressed/invested than I am with pure CGI fights (it’s no coincidence that WW’s weakest part is the CGI slog-fest at the end). The big “moments” felt organic to the story - like Diana climbing out of the trenches for her No Man’s Land moment - rather than the director saying “Hey, this will look cool” and just makes it happen, logic/sense be damned.
It just made me think of them filming WW2 now and how I really hope that Patty Jenkins ignores the rest of the DC universe and I hope WB/DC lets her do that and this next movie is in the same vein as the first WW movie, not Justice League.

If they go forward with any Justice League, Batman, or Superman movies, just not having Zack Snyder involved will be a big improvement. Other than some great casting of the heroes (excpet Batfleck) he's a dud.

I just watched Wonder Woman and Justice League back to back on HBO (finally), and honestly don't see much of a difference in terms of quality in storytelling.
And a lot of it made me think that Marvel has already been there, done that i.e. Flash being the vulnerable, quippy Spiderman-type character, white dude WWII hero named Steve played by a guy named Chris, etc.

First trailer is up for the Wonder Woman sequel, Wonder Woman 1984Love the use of New Order in the trailer. I hope they really lean into the 80s-ness of it all. Other things: - Good golly Gal Gadot is gorgeous. Especially in those scenes in the beginning with Kristen Wiig. - Obviously keeping the “Cheetah” part of Wiig’s character under wraps. Same with Pedro Pascal’s character - Glad they aren’t hiding that Chris Pine is back, just the “how” - I hope they don’t go too nuts with the CGI fight scenes. The CGI slog-fests they put in superhero movies are boring as hell and the one at the end of the first WW movie was the worst part of it. Just like Star Wars figured out that using puppets enhanced by CGI is better than full CGI characters, the action sequences in superhero movies feel better when it is super-cool stunt work enhanced by CGI. Again, note how bad the CGI fight at the end of Black Panther was compared to the rest of the movie. Take a step back. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. ETA: and oh my god, I want the really faint/light metallic nail polish she’s wearing in the scene with the close up on the watch as it is handed to her. And her necklace. And her bracelet.
