She doesn't have a thread yet, but she should. She's using her fame for good.

Didn't know much about her other than enjoyed her as Wonder Woman. Then I heard her interviewed on a podcast (I think the Hollywood Reporter's podcast?), and walked away pretty impressed wit her. She seems like a smart, no BS kind of lady. She talked about how she was modeling in Israel before she got into acting, and someone casting for a James Bond movie went into her agency, saw her picture on the wall and asked if she could come in to audition. Her agent told her to go, and she was all, "Dude, I'm not an actor. I'm not going in there to lie to them and waste their time" but he insisted that she go because it could lead to other projects. So she went and up front told the casting director, "Look, I'm not an actor. I have no training. I'm only here because my agent insisted and I apologize for wasting your time." The casting director was impressed by her candor and she gave her a lot of advice and resources if she did decide to give acting a try and was basically like, "If you are interested, call me after you've taken some acting classes."
I also like that she and Patty Jenkins seem genuinely close. In the same interview she talked about going to a screening of WW so she could watch and give her own notes before they finished the editing process and mentioned that while she was there, Patty was babysitting her daughter.
ETA: In the same interview she also mentioned that she was one of the finalists for the role of Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road. I think they did the right thing going with Charlize, but now that I've seen Gal's acting chops I wonder what she would have done with the role.

I love that in the midst of all these Superhero movies with all these actors play fighting at being seasoned warriors- she's one of the few who have had honest to goodness combat training. A lot of guys love to talk tough (*cough cough Mark Walburg cough cough*) but Gal actually knows her stuff! (Ooh, and I made a rhyme!)

I think that she can take the stance she's taking on Ratner because she and her husband are already very wealthy, but at the same time, nobody else was taking it, including a lot of A-listers who are also loaded. So, yes, she can afford her principles, but she's still willing to stand up when a lot of other people aren't.

Who's to say she hasn't told WME she'll change agencies if they bring him back. Personally, I don't need to hear everyone represented by WME commenting on some behind the scenes player I've never heard of.

I don't see what Gal having had Venit as an agent has to do with her taking a stance against Brett Ratner. I don't even think that's a really applicable case of "picking and choosing."
Venit might be a powerful agent, but he is not nearly as well known to the general public as Ratner. The gesture against Ratner is largely symbolic, but still so necessary and refreshing to see. I find it kind of troubling, to be honest, that instead of celebrating her using her power to incite change, the focus would be on "well, what did she do about Adam Venit?" especially when she's never publicly defended Venit, nor do we even know how much actual interaction she's had with the man.
WME is a huge agency. Most of their big clients have a whole team of people representing them, and we don't really know how much interaction she's had (if any) with Venit. I think linking the Crews situation to her is an unfair reach.
Also, I don't like the idea that we're going to hold Gadot to some kind of moral purity test just because she was willing to publicly denounce Ratner and demand that WB go after his paychecks, that we're somehow going to try and hold her accountable for every other male predator whom she may or may not actually be linked with.

Her husband is a very successful real estate developer in Israel. They also owned a luxury hotel that, according to Wikipedia, they sold for $26 million a couple years ago.

Not to mention, it is only now that she has enough clout to do so. Prior to the success of Wonder Woman, would you have known who she is? She'd probably be yet another pretty face on the screen, perhaps you'd recognise her face in other movies etc, but that would have been it. It is only now that she's been given a platform to do so, the right timing to make such a demand. If Wonder Woman had flopped, her demand would have been ridiculed beyond belief. Who does she think she is? Etc, etc. It's easy to say she should have acted earlier, but she was not in the position to be even heard, let alone taken seriously.
