The same thing happened with Silence of the Lambs because of whatever gay/bi/transgendered isssues that the killer had.

I'm glad she doesn't take the road to Famewhore like so many of her colleagues. I'd like to think it was because the one time she did, i.e. the making out with Russell Crowe at the Golden Globes it scared her back into personal obscurity.

Granted that was so far back in the day that Russell Crowe was just a hot Aussie actor and not a prima donna asshat extraordinare.
