Just started The Decameron last night. Good black comedy about the black death, as it should be. Also just started One Piece even though it came out a while ago. Entertaining.

Only so much to watch that's new...thought I'd check out "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" since I never read the books. It isn't bad, definitely a teen mystery drama -- but I hate to say that I guessed what the mystery/murderer was in the first episode. So, I watched a little of the second and that just reconfirmed my theory and I figured I had to check. And yeah, I was right. I don't know if that's how it was in the book, but I think they gave too many obvious leads or I watch too many of these kind of dramas. LOL
Still think it's not awful to check out, though.

I just blew through the available episodes of Bad Monkey this morning. I'm a Carl Hiassen fan and this series really worked.

Watched the new Matlock with Kathy Bates yesterday. Really enjoyed it! Has nothing to do with the old Matlock tv show, and there’s quite a twist at the end.

Apparently she has decided this will be her final role. I would argue that it does cuz that is what the tagline was in the commercials I saw. Even though it has nothing to do with the Andy Griffith Matlock TV show, in my mind it is forever linked cuz they name-dropped. I wasn't gonna watch it anyway. Name dropping implies they hired a bunch of writers who will craft episodes from pieces of other TV show episodes, which induces boredom in me quite quickly.

I tried to watch Monsters: The Menendez Brothers but it was soooo obvious the teen brothers were played by two men well into their twenties that I couldn't suspend my sense of disbelief. Plus there was the world's worst bald cap on one of them. The parents were played by Javier Bardem and Chloe Sevigny and were fine, but the series wasn't about them. Plus, the script was too flip and ironic and strayed from major details that were in the true story.

Is anybody else still watching the Great British Bake Off? Spoilers ahead for last week's ep: {Spoiler}Was Jeff really that sick that he had to quit? I feel like they won't pick an American again.
Also, how did Hazel ever get picked? Usually you feel bad for the first person to be eliminated but from week one there was no doubt it would be her. And does anyone else feel like the contestants aren't practicing their bakes at home anymore? There's no excuse for not being able to perform in the Signature challenge.

Is anybody else still watching the Great British Bake Off? I am, I am! My sister and I were talking this weekend about how this season's bakers didn't seem as skilled as previous seasons. It sounds like some of them have really good flavors, though. The technical for cake week was brutal!
