Given that she's all over those tapes, I think any attempt to toss him under the bus will take her right under there with him.

I saw some negative headline about Mr. Target insinuating that he had lied to his own parents about attending college and had pocketed the money.
I did not bother to read it, but now I’m wondering if Lori is orchestrating the bad press.
I have learned from all this she is a terrible person.

No, that's actually from an interview with one of his kids before this whole thing broke. She was talking about why it was so important to them that she went to college.

Oh, OK, thanks for the clarification. That’s what I get for being too lazy to go back and find it.

Mossimo has talked it about it too - I think he's proud of the fact that he came up with this ingenious way of funding his fashion line. It definitely demonstrates the ethos of the family as passed down from parents to children - that lying and cheating to get what you want is the path to success.

I don't like the husband's face. I know that's not fair-minded and is terribly shallow but he looks too smug by half for that guy who sold Target tees and his cheeks appear to have been stuffed with the testicular bits of a small woodland rodent creature. Reading about his public shouting at the HS counselor who had the unmitigated gall to question why the non-rowing daughter was granted admission via the rowing team makes me feel justified in judging the smug book by its creepy gopher nut cover.
Never had an opinion on Lori one way or the other but now I'm completely obsessed with finding a video clip wherein she pronounces her last name because I really need to know if it's Loff-lin, as I'd always thought the roughly 3.5 times she's crossed my mind in the past 30 years, or Lock-lin as so many talking heads are saying it. It's small stuff but I need to know.

Me neither! I don't know if that's filler or natural (Olivia also has a very wide face), but it's creepy. He looks like he's had turkey legs inserted under his cheeks.

Sorry that I don't know how to link to photos but I recently saw one of him and LL taken around time they married and his cheeks looked normal. Now they just jump out at you because they're so oddly round and jutting. They look somewhat painful- like they might burst *shudder*. I suspect that Olivia has had some work on her face, as well. There's something oddly polished and doll-like about her face when compared to her sister's and I don't think that the heavy make-up could do that but who knows? I know that I read about the husband having a heated confrontation with high school guidance counselor in one of People's online articles but can't find it now so curious as to whether it was erroneous report based on the college athletic director cautioning that the parents *not* confront anyone due to concern that would cause scrutiny of scheme. I guess I'll have to watch sentencing to get to correct pronunciation of "Loughlin"

I guess I'll have to watch sentencing to get to correct pronunciation of "Loughlin" I am not a linguist, though I occasionally dabble in etymology. I am fairly certain that it is pronounced, Loff-lin. The UGH letters often make the F sound. Examples are: enough (en-uff),or Derek Hough (Huff). However, if her last name is derived from the Irish (and we all know how wacky Galic pronunciation can be), O'loughlin then you would get the hard K. (Oh-la-klin). IMO it comes down to personal preference. She might not care how it's pronounced either way.
