She went swimming in open water with a 4-year-old?? Is Glee cursed? All by herself. That's so unsafe on so many levels. I was just saying to myself that Glee seems to have a death curse or something. :/ Her poor little boy and family.  |

This is absolutely heartbreaking. Imagine the utter horror, despair, and helplessness that child must have felt for hours. I rarely if at all feel actual sadness when celebs die, but this truly makes me feel sad. Maybe it's because of the circumstances and how they will impact the child, or maybe it's because Naya was someone who I liked, but this somehow hits me hard.

Oh, my God! That poor little boy. I’m so glad he was wearing a life jacket.
I spend a lot of time on the water boating and so many bad things can happen so quickly. We have at least five drowning deaths in our lake every year.
The reports said she rented a pontoon boat. I hope they issued her a life jacket when she rented it.
On Tuesday I went out and got about 2000 m from the dock and realized I had forgotten my life jacket. I turned right around and went back to get it.
People (in general, not specifically Naya Rivera) do not respect nature enough. We humans are actually very fragile when faced with the elements.
