Charges dismissed after white woman in Central Park birdwatcher incident completes education program

For those who are unfamiliar with this case, you may also want to watch video of the incident, which is linked in the article.

The program was a "moving experience," the program reported to the DA's office, according to prosecutor Joan Illuzzi.

It was meant to teach Cooper that "racial identities shape our lives but we cannot use them to harm ourselves and others," Illuzzi said during a brief virtual court appearance in which Cooper appeared by videoconference.

Cooper's record will be sealed "consistent with every other dismissal."

I'm really not sure where this should go, but apparently Discovery + has a Jodi Arias documentary out that looks to be pro- Jodi and it makes me ill every time I see it promoted on Pinterest. One acquaintance said he'd watched it and it is rather pro-Jodi. Just ick.

How is this even possible? Are people buying all the lies about Travis? Their relationship seemed pretty dysfunctional on both sides but if it was SO terrible, all she had to do was stay in CA after she moved from AZ. It seems pretty clear to me that she snapped after he made it abundantly clear that he wasn’t serious about her.
