The thing is, I believe that Nigella eats well and loves food. She makes stuff that I’d want to eat. I can’t imagine Meghan, Goop or another celebrity who lives their life maintaining a strict diet would make something that looks delicious and is something I’d actually want to eat.
I think 4 or 5 friends have now posted about the jam gift on social media. Still a majority of giftees haven’t posted. I imagine along with the jam there was an ask to post about it and tag the brand. Just odd to me the actual brand Instagram site isn’t reposting any of these posts or teasing the eventual (when??) product roll-out.

The Daily Mail is reporting that Lemonada isn’t expecting a new podcast series from Meghan until 2025…. Apparently the concern is releasing a podcast now would stomp on the cooking / lifestyle show. They’ve only just started filming the show and assuming production runs through the summer I have a hard time seeing the show hit the air by year end. And that’s assuming that Netflix wants to pick up the show! I don’t see why a podcast couldn’t come out this year but of course that would involve coming up with an interesting idea.
If the brand roll-out is a success I’m guessing the podcast deal will be quietly dropped. But if Jam and trinkets don’t sell to the masses then I imagine we can look forward to Archetypes season 2.

Spotify had to basically force her to do Archetypes and they gave her untold resources (several producers and built a studio) and she came up with…that. Doubtful that Lemonada will ever see a podcast from her.

It took over two years to release 10 episodes of Archetypes. Not to mention 20 producers. Spotify had to bring people in the squeeze something out of them after waiting and waiting.
The excuse that they don't want the jam business to overshadow podcasting is a crank excuse. Anyone ever heard of cross-promotion? People won't listen to the podcast if there's a show of hers? Someone tell the hosts of Smartless...

Alan Alda has hosted a podcast since 2018 (over 300) episodes, he’s 88, and has Parkinson’s. He promotes his Foundation. That’s the point. To have a platform for promotion and ideas….

Buckingham Palace Shop posted about their strawberry jam earlier today, lol. They can’t pretend this wasn’t intentional!

At least you can actually buy their jam! Meghan’s friends and acquaintances keep flogging a jam we can’t even buy!

If I need jam, my local shops are full with jars of it, all local.

At least you can actually buy their jam! Meghan’s friends and acquaintances keep flogging a jam we can’t even buy! BP and Highgrove are taking advantage of the strawberry jam boom by selling strawberry jam. Crazy! Meanwhile, Meghan's sending jam no one can buy to Chrissy Teigen and Kris Jenner so the peasants will drool over it on Instagram and nobody even knows if it will ever be available for purchase. It's amazing to me that Meghan can't stop herself from announcing new projects that she's not ready to deliver and possibly won't be ready to deliver for years, if at all. Over and over and over again. She employs a competent management team. I can't imagine they are telling her that this is how to successfully launch things. I remember Goop, in its infancy, put up a website with about 10 products for sale, one of which was wrapping paper that was marked up to $50 even though it was available everywhere else for about $10. And it had a newsletter that was so rushed it actually included a box of text that just said "Write some text for this box". But it was something! People want to buy stuff, and Goop gave them something to buy. People signed up for a newsletter, and Goop sent them a newsletter. People signed up on Meghan's new website with their email addresses and have gotten nothing. Just like the last time those same people signed up on one of her websites and got nothing. Her squad is so blindly loyal they'd light themselves on fire if she had Melissa McCarthy make an Instagram video telling them to. But I think she's going to need to do more than just tease her own squad to create a successful brand.

I wouldn't want the likes of Chrissy Teigen and Kris Jenner promoting my products. They're terrible people.
