And while we are all watching and are distracted by this…what are they doing that we can’t see???

And while we are all watching and are distracted by this…what are they doing that we can’t see??? That's what I'm thinking, too. It's pretty clear this is just window dressing at this point. I had to turn off my NYT breaking news alerts to my email because it was upsetting me so much. On election night I unsubscribed all NYT anything, my local paper's alerts, and anything that gave me any sort of political email. Best decision. I also did a purge of my watch history on YouTube for I think 3 months (possibly a year?) and then changed it so anything that snuck through that was related to the orange one was deleted from my history so that now my algorithm is set up to have nothing come up related to the election, him, or politics in my suggestions or YouTube feed. Same with social media. It's been super helpful. Now if I want to know something, I just go looking for it instead of vice versa.

And while we are all watching and are distracted by this…what are they doing that we can’t see??? We need to print this on our foreheads, t-shirts, bumper stickers, etc. This has to be our motto for the foreseeable future. This is exactly what is happening. Unfortunately, I paid some absurdly low rate to have an annual subscription to both Wash Post and NYT so I'm stuck with them until that runs out. I mainly just play the NYT games at this point. And the Recipes are sometimes good. But the coverage of the election and aftermath is garbage.

Okay, it's been over a week since the election, and I'm still trying to process it. And to process it, I've been eating my feelings and slacking off when it comes to working out. Granted, I also had a bad cold for most of the week, which doesn't help things.
To get into the MAGA mind, especially one that is a woman around my age, I picked up a book called "Domestic Extremist: A Practical Guide to Winning the Culture War" by Peachy Keenan. I'm only a few chapters in, but for someone who considers herself to be living the most ideal, enviable life, Peachy is one of the most bitter people I've ever come across in print. Even in a moment of victory, the MAGA crowd just seems so angry and pissed off.

Says the party that thinks Democrats control the weather and are sending massive hurricanes to destroy Republican-heavy areas in the south. This guy clearly doesn't know how to read data of any kind.

Ugh. Yep, no extreme weather lately! Honestly one of my biggest fears for the next Trump admin is that he will privatize NOAA.
