I love Duran Duran and sadly I remember that 45, of all people, went to their Broadway mini-residency back in 2007. He, Melania, and Jr were there (with other “celebrities”).

But I’d imagine that was more about getting his photo taken and being seen at an event than caring about music.

That was the one that got me. In the four years of 45's administration, they never had a concert at the White House. I think every President since at least Eisenhower has had WH concerts of some sort.

Knowing so little about Drumpf's musical tastes shows how much of an uncertain public figure he is. With Barack Obama's prescience in declaring Kendrick Lamar would win in a rap battle against Drake in 2014 or Bill Clinton jamming on his sax for Lionel Hampton's 90th birthday, it speaks to their personality, generation, and aesthetic choices. The Donald, on the other hand, when he does give his musical picks, they feel curated for mass appeal and so phony.
