I automatically assumed she would be different on the Today show. It's her job to act like that on The View. It's not as if she goes around talking about sex and not liking underwear all the time. Or at least I assume she doesn't. It's just part of what they do on the View.

IIRC, when she first started out on The View, she tried to be the professional one, but when you're dealing with the likes of Star Jones, Joy Behar, and Debbie Matenopolous, that goes out the window pretty quickly.

Yeah, I remember her being very professional at the beginning of "The View". Then she quickly became the raunchiest of the bunch, and I think she's made a lot fewer sexual innuendos in the last three years or so than she did in the middle of her run. Like how someone upthread noted the example of how often she used to remind us that she never wore underwear. But she is fully capable of conducting herself in the proper professional manner for "The Today Show". However she did accidently say "dumbass" one day on WWTBaM and then turned red and made a pretty big deal about it.
But damn I'm going to miss her on "The View". I nearly started crying today when she made her official announcement that she'd be leaving.

Wasn't she a newscaster or something like that before she landed the View? I think she'll be fine, but when I think of her, I just think "blah".

And it's not like she talked about that stuff when she was on 60 Minutes. She knows how to behave appropriately for the venue. Except when she hosted the Oscar pre-show and acted like a spaz the whole time.
I, for one, liked Meredith's little TMI moments. I loved when she said that sometimes when her husband wants to have sex and she's too tired, she just lets him do it while she sleeps. And all the other bitches pretended like that was shocking and offensive.

I think that that's kinda weird too. But then again I've never been married, so what the hell do I know.

I actually did think that was offensive. Isn't that called "rape" when you don't want to have sex and someone does it to you anyway?
That happened in the book "Rosemary's Baby" and looked what happened to her! hahhaa.

I am glad to see that I am not the only one she bugs. She doesn't have the opportunity on Millionaire to prattle on with sexual innuendo's as it is tightly managed, sitting on the couch with Matt after years of loose lips will be more of a challenge. He may be looking too, who knows??? Today's paper said he was in deep conversation with Jack Welch in some restaurant. Maybe getting tips on how to negotiate a higher salary for taking her on.
Even though she has a Kathi Lee penchant for pimping her children on the VIEW, she does seem to be the major support for the family.
I will stick with GMA.

He's not doing it against her will. In fact, I think she came up with the idea herself. Lots of married people agree to have sex with their spouse when they don't particularly feel like it (key words being "agree to"), in Meredith's case, she just doesn't put on the polite pretense of being into it when she's not.

I like thinking about Star choking back her piece of "Goodbye" cake. You know she went home and broke some shit when she found out.
