I don't know about Meredith knowing what's appropriate to say and when because the story she told on Conan about grabbing a strange penis thinking it was a hand was cringeworthy. I like her and all but she is a bit of a loose cannon.

I'm a little bummed that Ann Curry or Campbell Brown didn't get the Katie replacement position. Nothing personal against Meredith because she's got lots of experience, but I enjoy watching both of those ladies on the weekend Today show. They both have great personalities and get along with everyone else on the shows. I wonder how they both feel about this, or if they even wanted the job.

Yeah but if you're gonna tell a story like that then Conan is the perfect place to tell it. I think she's developed a good sense of when and where to let those things fly.

I'm kind of excited that she got the job. I might actually have to check out Today- which says something since I'm a die-hard GMA fan. On the other hand I will never watch CBS news again.

I have a vague memory of this, but I remember thinking it was funny. Everyone that goes on those shows is expected to tell some sort of funny(often embarassing) story to entertain us. And Meredith told some story about how she met someone for the first time and reached out to shake his hand, and ended up extending her hand in the wrong place or something.
