I don't know if Poehler would be up for a gig like that, but I would love to see a woman replace him. I'm just not sure who.

I would love Jessica Williams to do it. She's brilliant.

I was hoping he would stay until the fuckery of the next election cycle. I am going to miss him so much. End of an era.

OK, that's what I thought (before looking it up after posting, tee hee).
Honestly, I just feel gutted about this, and I think that might be part of the problem--as much as JStew was a beacon, I suspect I (and others like me) might be getting too dependent.

There was no one better at checking badly dressed celebrities when everyone else blows smoke up their asses. Who is going to make sure Fox News is never taken seriously, and politicians are called out for their hypocrisy and overall suckage? And who is going to cover international news stories? I hope John Oliver can turn his weekly HBO gig into a daily. |
