Charlie makes a shitload of money but HE earned it. HE worked on that TV show and HE is/was the highest paid TV actor. Denise is not and she should adjust her lifestyle accordingly (less nannys, employees, cars etc.). The guy is already providing for his children and a luxurious lifestyle. The entitlement here is just out of control. Then Denise should milk that cow for all its worth while she can; at this rate, who knows how much longer Charlie will be alive to provide for Sam and Lola. ETA: [ tongue planted firmly in cheek]

He also fathered her children and is responsible for providing them. He also married her and so she IS entitled to spousal compensation. She's not asking for anything he couldn't reasonably provide if he wasn't insisting on being a douche about it and backing out of a promise he made to her. A promise he made which- in believing him, she gave up some of her property to meet his wishes/demands in being closer to their children. That he's backing out of his agreement is putting her in a disadvantaged position.
I don't want to say she was dumb for believing him (although it surely wasn't her first time in the rodeo of dealing with his lies). But he was manipulative in making promises to her that he's now breaking.

I agree. The word entitlement obviously has a negative connotation, but she literally is legally entitled to the money he makes. I see her as advocating for herself and her children.
Now, does Denise literally NEED more than $55k per month to support two children? No, of course not. But that's really neither here nor there.

Even if she is entitled to it legally, she's a fool not to have socked away money and bought a house on her own for her children, knowing their father is Charlie Sheen, Asshole of Assholes. Even if she agreed to move in to his property to be closer to him, she should have kept another property available for herself and the children in the event of his flipping out. If we can see into the future and know he's going to do, she definitely should be able to!

Having to co-parent with Charlie Sheen and constantly clean up the consequences of his destructive behavior is worth more than $55,000 per month. Denise is being underpaid.
Denise seems to be a homebody who is usually with her kids. I don't hear about her going off on lavish vacations by herself or buying diamond-encrusted bras, so she's using the money to provide a nice life for her kids, which is what it's for.
Child support in California is supposed to ensure that one parent can't bathe the kids in luxury while the other parent pinches pennies. Imagine if Denise only had money for necessities and Charlie could use his massive wealth to bribe or punish the kids and make that part of his ongoing abuse of them and Denise? (I mean more than he already DOES.) The more financially secure Denise and the kids are, the less Charlie can hurt them.
And if I were Denise, I would be socking away a portion of the money because it is extremely likely that one of these days Charlie is going to have blown everything on drugs, prostitutes, private planes, luxury cars (which he smashes up) and payoffs and one day he won't be able to pay any child support at all.

According to Radar, there was a $7M trust set up for the girls to take care of their housing and Charlie has been raiding it with the assistance of the trustee, his lawyer. She may not have the funds to purchase a house near their school, especially if the private schools she's applied to don't want Charlie Sheen showing up to create an incident.

Raiding your children's trust fund has to be high on the list of lowest things a parent can do. But this is Crazy Charlie Sheen, so....expected?

it is extremely likely that one of these days Charlie is going to have blown everything on drugs, prostitutes, private planes, luxury cars (which he smashes up) and payoffs I heard a rumor that one reason Charlie went public with his HIV diagnosis was because he was tired of paying people to shut up (especially as more and more people found out anyway). By the way, I wonder whether Charlie had paid Denise off to not leak the news of his diagnosis. If she were really money-hungry, I imagine she could have really blackmailed him by threatening to blow up his spot.

Normally I would think a parent dying when a child is young would be a horrible thing, but...... since we aren't allowed to wish harm on a celeb I won't finish that thought.

By the way, I wonder whether Charlie had paid Denise off to not leak the news of his diagnosis. If she were really money-hungry, I imagine she could have really blackmailed him by threatening to blow up his spot. In between his periodic tantrums, he and Denise usually get along pretty well and I think if Denise were trying to constantly squeeze money out of him, I don't think they would - and he would rant and rave about how greedy she is all the time. In fact, when Denise came to the rescue and took custody of the twins, Charlie actually offered to give her more child support, which she turned down. (Of course, I think what Charlie really wanted was to stick it to Brooke by taking her child support away and giving it to Denise, but whatever.)
