I follow Deborah Anderson (daughter of Yes singer Jon Anderson) on Instagram. She's friends with Julian and there was a photo of her with Julian and Sean. I'm glad Sean and Julian are on good terms.

For a while, Julian had this scorched-earth approach to discussing his father, as if anyone who mentioned how much they admired John was wrong and needed to be corrected. I glad he can acknowledge the hurt that John caused him, but understand how beloved his father still remains.

I glad he can acknowledge the hurt that John caused him, but understand how beloved his father still remains. On his side, though, I can see why he'd react that way. Everyone he meets wants to tell him how great John was, but he never saw that guy, just the one who ditched him and his mom but doted over the next kid he had. It was a recipe for resentment. It's to Julian's credit (and hopefully therapy) that he was able to move past that, but the anger and pain was very reasonable.

I agree that Julian’s reaction was reasonable, but there was some backlash was that he seem to be “sour grapes“ about what happened to him. I’m glad he’s able to have some perspective on his father now.
