It's God's way of telling you that Guinastasia McGregor is too long for you to write without developing a horrid case of carpel tunnel syndrome. Or that women are hypocrites and care only for men with six packs and not the good ones who are slightly overweight and have good jobs. And penis size, but if I say any more I risk being lynched.

Aww, MZ. I really cannot speak for anyone else, but I don't adore EM because of his rock hard abs--hell, I don't think he has rock hard abs. I don't think he's conventionally handsome either, but there is something in his eyes--a mischevious twinkle. I just happen to love the work he does. I thought he was rather silly looking in Shallow Grave and rather scrawny in Trainspotting, but I love his performances in both. I like that he can play such different characters. I know other actors could play many of his roles in equally compelling ways, but they didn't. Since no other actor has gone from Trainspotting, to Velvet Goldmine to Moulin Rouge, to Down with Love to Young Adam--with Star Wars and a slew of other types of roles in between--he wins in my book. (And it's not that his is the biggest penis ever, but it is certainly one of the most personable! It loves the camera!)
I also love that his family seems very important to him. He always speaks of his wife, children, and parents with such love and admiration. He's got such a regular guy quality to him--and not in that Tom Cruisey/Ben Afflecky way, but genuine. That's why I, and probably many others, would consider him "one of the good ones." Not for the movies and all that but because he is just a regular nice guy, normal, like any guy I would date. Actually he reminds me of the truly wonderful men I have dated.
His enthusiasm for his work and his devotion to his family are what I admire--the same traits that I admire in my real life SO who is definitely one of the good ones.
ETA I made a wish when your post count reached 1111! Couldn't read anything else with your name until I was sure you had posted again! So sad, I know.

Couldn't have said it better indygirl! Ewan is just a charmer, he's very very charismatic and magnetic. He's not exactly a Calvin Klein model, but he's 100 times sexier than 10 of them combined.

What indygirl said. You can take your Fabios and your Chippendale dancers. I'll take guys like Ewan any day of the week.

Amen, Indygirl! For me, what's so special about Ewan isn't that he has a dick, although it's a great bonus, it's that, based on what I've heard/read about him, despite being hot, rich & famous, he isn't one.

Feel the love! An article about The Island is up at MSN.com. It's really more about Scarlett Johansson, but there is a picture of EM looking all rugged and protective. And he's mentioned in the article, so... here!

He's such a great actor, I can even forgive the Star Wars movies (I've hated that franchise with a passion since my brother subjected me to the first three constantly when I was a kid).
I finally got around to seeing Moulin Rouge this week, and I can't believe how great he was -- not only is his voice absolutely beautiful, but he can pull off being sappy and earnest without making me gag. Really looking forward to The Island.
The only thing wrong with him is that I think one of my ex-boyfriends had a bigger crush on him than I did.

Well, last night, I got bored, and I remembered that joke Ewan made about playing Princess Leia, soooo.... Here are the results.

Wow. I can't decide if that's hilarious or frightening. A little from column A, a little from column B.
The cinnabons are definitely working for Ewan.

Well, last night, I got bored, and I remembered that joke Ewan made about playing Princess Leia, soooo.... Here are the results.Love it! And I don't know about Leia, but he would have made a far more convincing Padme than Natalie Portman. The innocent kiss he gave Hayden Christiansen when they met up in public was hotter than any on-screen kiss between HC and NP. Of course, I am also almost ready to bet that any kiss between Katie Holmes and Christian Bale in Batman Begins won't be hotter than the ones between Arthur and Curt in Velvet Goldmine.
