Is it going to be shown in theaters nationwide? I assumed it would be broadcast on PBS or something.

Sorry, it was a one night only, one showing only deal at 400 theaters in the US yesterday.
The show itself starts on Saturday night - Fox Reality Channel 9pmET/8pmCT.
This was more of an overview of the journey - just the highlights.

*sigh* I just love him. They showed a little of the UNICEF stuff in the theatrical version last night, but it was all mainly just highlights. I'm so looking forward to seeing more from each location. They're also running a marathon of Long Way Round before LWD premieres on Fox Reality Channel. I think my friend and I were the only non-motorcyclists in the theater last night (there was maybe 30 or 40 people there). The rest of the people were there for the motorcycles, we were there for Ewan.

The movie was not playing any place within a 100 miles of my small town. I did see the preview last night and have a question. How do you feel about the wife joining them? It is really sweet he loves her so much and I could understand it if she were a rider but seems to me it could be more problem than not. Thoughts?

Considering he more often than not has Eve and his "wee ladies" join him on location when he's doing a film, they're probably used to it by now. So maybe it wasn't that big of a deal?

Well Charley was a bit miffed, because he didn't get a chance to spend so much time with his wife and he really considered it something he and Ewan did together. During Eve's stint, he and Ewan went their separate ways, simply because she wasn't a competent rider. Though by the end of Eve's stay, Ewan was conflicted. He loves his wife, but was also relieved it's now back to the two of them again and he didn't have to worry so much about her safety.
The BBC already showed LWD earlier this year, so I've already had the chance to see it. Coincidentally Nat Geo is showing it again later on and the BBC is currently rerunning LWR.

Wandering through Barnes & Noble today I saw they've made a book version of Long Way Round as well.

My step-dad, who likes motorcycles, owns the book. I've read parts of it, but I mainly just looked at the pictures.
