I never liked him much on SNL because I hated that stupid cheerleading skit, but I love him so much now. ITA! I guess Cherie Oteri was blocking my love. I love his movies all so much - Elf, Anchorman, Old School - anything he's in, he's just teh funny! He has a wonderful childlike quality that comes through in a lot of his humor that makes it more pure, or, something... The more mature stuff, well that's just funny. One of my all time favorite movie scenes was him floating in the pool after getting hit in the neck by the tranq dart, and "the sounds of silence" playing - old school. Good times.

What's your favorite planet? Mine's the sun, because it's like the king of planets.

I loooove Will! Everything he does ever has me laugh so hard that I cry. And he really seems like he's a sweet guy in real life.
ETA: And his SNL Best of...is probably my most watched DVD. I need to get Volume II!

I am SO looking forward to Talladega Nights! I've heard good reviews about it. Sounds like a summer laugh movie. God knows we all need that, nothing like going into a freezing cold movie theater and gorging on popcorn to make a girl's night!

Re his kid's name: his wife is Swedish, and Magnus is a common name in Sweden.

According to a blurb in the local paper the other day, he's not funny LINK

It's like the reporter is upset that Will Farrell isn't like a trained dolphin or something who can just make silly jokes at the drop of a hat. Not that dolphins make jokes but you know what I mean.

Some people are funny only under certain circumstances. A lot of idiots seem to think that just because you're funny/comedic in one area, you must be funny AT! ALL! TIMES! 24/7, no turning it off. Good grief...
I actually haven't liked very many of Ferrell's movies (probably one of the few out there who didn't like Elf), but for some reason I like Ferrell. He just seems like a nice guy and hey, I *like* the fact that he apparently doesn't feel the need to be funny 100% of the time.
