Stardust is the new movie about David Bowie. However, it's unauthorized, so it doesn't have a single David Bowie song in it. Played by an actor who doesn't look at all like David Bowie. Perhaps this money could have been spent on something else, like, oh, say, liver cancer, perhaps?

Well, what are the songs? I suppose “Let’s Dance” in a sound alike...many many many times.

I follow Bowie's son on twitter and I remember him tweeting about this movie a while ago when they were making it. He said he knew nothing about this movie, and he would definitely be in the know if anyone had requested authorization or song rights. It seems this production is so low-rent they didn't even try.

The Snowman with David Bowie’s intro to it. Prompted by his son posting about finding the actual scarf when looking for sock monkeys as you do It’s a lovely little christmassy animation to watch anyway.

I watched Moon ages ago before I even knew it was his work, haven’t watched Source code but saw Mute and Warcraft and liked them both. He is lovely to follow on Twitter I will say that he has like two whole tweets of mine both about food Edit He wears a piece of neck jewelry and I’d noticed he always has it on, I just stumbled on this promo interview about Warcraft where he tell it’s an ancient torc gifted from his Dad interview was after David died, watch to the end and grab a tissue.

His twitter followers informed him that he'd found that scarf before. I follow him on twitter, but sometimes I feel like unfollowing because he tweets a lot. He got into a little bit of controversy a couple of years ago for tweeting his unvarnished opinions about parenthood, indicating that it kind of sucks and he might reconsider the decision if he could. I appreciated the honesty, and I appreciated his refusal to make the usual declaration that it's worth it. His responses further down the thread imply that he and his wife are two of those martyr types who refuse to ever get a babysitter and spend time alone EVER. Perhaps he feels he needs to make up for how badly he was neglected as a child, but not leaving the house in 9 months (pre-pandemic) is the other ridiculous extreme.
