ABC has got some kind of hard on for Bill O'Reilly. He's on GMA all the time. I love me some Robin Roberts and Sam Champion, but what passes for "news" on that show is a joke.
He is such a condescending douchebag. I would've walked off when he said, "listen to me, you'll learn something." Barbara got her panties in a twist because they walked off, but why should anyone in any situation be spoken to like that? If my boss put me in a situation where he knew I was going to get verbally abused and insulted, I'd be pissed too. Team Joy/Whoopi.

I heard what the douchebag O'Reilly said. So I guess if I use his train of thought, every black person in this country should beat the shit out of every white person in the USA because white people owned slaves in America. See how dumb that sounds?

You cannot argue with him. You cannot present facts and have a civil conversation. I'd leave as well. But again, what were they expecting? He makes a living saying disgusting things to get a rise out of people. Hopefully next time Whoopi and Joy will just sit his interview out.

It's too bad they couldn't have had his ass hauled off the set instead, but then of course, he'd be whining about his free speech being hampered.
Better if Whoopi and Joy could have just stood, locked arms and sang "We Shall Overcome" until the idiot and his hate speech was drowned out.
I get why they walked out- that was their statement of protest too. But it gives the haters so much ammo. Esp. Bitsy... shudder.

I'll sit over here on the other side of the fence, all shivering and lonely. The walking off is unprofessional and petulant, IMO. It shouldn't matter who's on and what BS he's spouting - do your job. Hell, if O'Reilly wants to sit there and spew hateful nonsense, let him and allow the viewers to see it and make up their own minds. (How comes nobody calls him O'Lielly anymore? Them was fun times.)

One of the blonde Fox News femmebots was on O'Reilly's show later that evening and was bitching that his FS rights had been trampled on by them walking off. I don't think he's done it in a while, but O'Reilly has cut people's mics off on his show before. If he doesn't like what you're saying he will just order the director, "cut off his mic!" He and his band of Fox toadies are a bunch of lying, hateful hypocrites.

Good point, although if I were in the audience, I would have walked out. I refuse to give that asshole an audience to spew his hatred. He should just take that shit to a KKK meeting where it belongs.

Agreed. Not having watched the show, I don't know if they are calling themselves journalists but I would hope that in a "journalistic setting" (interviewer/interviewee) like that, even if you don't agree with or like what ther person is saying, you shouldn't walk off.

If ya can't stand the heat, you have no business bein' in the kitchen.
As a political conservative, I hear lots of repugnant views on that show yet can't imagine walking out on a guest if I was the host.

That's a totally valid view, but, as Ladybug notes, the guy who regularly cuts the mics of people he doesn't agree with (or just screams over so what they have to say isn't heard) does not have a leg to stand on when it comes to whining about his First Amendment rights' being trampled.
