The fact that it is someone's culture doesn't make it right

Did she say torturing dogs, causing them pain and killing them was right? Did she say dogfighting was right?

I really have to clean my ears because I didn't hear her say any of that.

What were her actual words where she said that? Or "excused" it.

Believe it or not, I've never, ever seen The View. I guess it comes on during the day and I'm always working during the day.

I started out liking Whoopi Goldberg, but somewhere along the line she started seeming like a jerk to me.

I did hear Whoopie say that she thought that Vick didn't realize that what he was doing was wrong, because of being raised in a southern culture. It bothered me that she could, in my opinion, excuse his behaviour. I don't buy her statement that he didn't know he was doing something wrong. I don't believe that she was advocating torturing animals, but excusing someone else's bad behaviour based on where he was born.

I watched The View yesterday and I liked how Whoopi kind of touched Joy's arm when Joy was about to go after Bitsy, and then she and Joy kind of looked at each other and laughed while Bitsy was talking, as if, "look at that silly twit going on and on again." Whoopi also said to Bitsy, "wait until I'm finished, gorgeous," as Bitsy was about to interrupt her yet again.

According to media reports, the premiere was off by a million viewers from Rosie's debut last year.

If I had to work with Elisabeth Hasslebleh everyday and I didn't need the money, I'd be sending out resumes elsewhere pronto too. I wouldn't blame if Whoopie hightailed it outta there.
