Last night at dinner, I heard her new song, "Walk It Out", for the first time. I like it! It has a low-key, 90s vibe. It feels a lot like "Spotlight", which I loved. She did an interview with The Guardian Magazine, and probably much to her chagrin, the article focuses mostly on the horrific triple murder her family suffered a few years ago. I still find it hard to believe that she had to endure that. I'm always rooting for her (not just because of the murders), but it has felt like she doesn't really mesh with the current music scene. |
