Anne, piece of advice... Hide the Crazy.
Like we're surprised this happened? She's a serial relationshipper.

Actually, I was a bit surprised. There was a feature on her home in In Style magazine a few months ago. Like all those spreads, everything was sunshine and roses, etc. But at the time I thought, well, maybe Miss Goofball has settled into a nice life. Guess not.
I do feel bad for her son. I'm a little less sorry for her husband - he should've seen at least a few red flags, if not a whole parade of them. Still, it sucks to be carnage in this woman's love life I'm sure.

The InStyle Cruse strikes again!
If I was her husband I would be going for the jugular as far as spousal support.

Portia de Rossi >>>>>> Anne Heche Ya think? Yossarian and borokat, don't feel so bad - I remember, waaay back in the day, thinking Rummy was kinda hot*. This from a die-hard Democrat. Shhn. Don't tell anyone I said that, k? * Now he gives me the heebie-jeebies. But Steve Martin - I still think he's cute. I have weird taste. I had to step in to support Yossarian and borokat; Donald Rumsfeld is not bad looking. [/off-topic] Re: Anne Heche-I can't believe she is that crazy.

I hate Donald Rumsfeld, but I can sort of see the appeal.

It seems to me like she gets almost obsessively involved with whoever she's currently with to the point that they believe they have finally found their soulmate. She never seems to be the one getting dumped, instead she does the dumping. And it seems like it's out of the blue. The other person is thinking that everything's fine and they will be together forever, and meanwhile, Anne's bored and looking for her next victim. This is a definite pattern, and I can't imagine anyone dating this chick. They will end up crushed and wadded up and dumped for the next best thing! I used to like her, but her craziness and the casual way she plays with people's emotions and used up any residual good will. Ugh. She sickens me now. I think you hit it on the head, for me that is. This is what i always thought about her.

I've actually found her show kind of cute. Or at least, cute in its attempt to be cute. I don't mind crazy Anne. But that's pretty sh*tty for the two respective spouses. Wonder how long they'll last when the show gets canceled.
Maybe Coley can date Jennifer Aniston.

I think a lot of people who were sexually abused as children have a hard time forming lasting relationships. There are major trust issues. [ot]Sexual abuse can also lead to someone never having a significant other. I know someone who was abused as child who never had a boyfriend and she's inher 30s[/ot]. This is assuming she actually was abused. I believe she conveniently waited until her father was dead and unable to defend himself to level that accusation. Professionally, Anne has squandered some of the best industry good will I've ever seen. People LOVED her on "Another World." She had the "next Meryl Streep" label attached to her for awhile. She was a serious trained actress who was attractive enough to do leads without being so gorgeous that she was going to be stuck playing "the girlfriend." She came off as smart in meetings. She was hooked up with an up and coming writer. Everything looked good for her. People even liked the Steve Martin pairing because he's pretty beloved and respected. Then she went bananas, and she's had to rebuild. She's clearly her own worst enemy, whether she was actually abused or not as an excuse for it. Unfortunately, I know a lot of hugely talented people (and I'm in the "Anne is talented" camp for sure) who have torpedo'd their own careers, and with less of a good excuse than an abusive childhood.

Wol, Anne might have waited until her father was dead because she was afraid of him.
I agree with what you said about her squandering her career. I remember her from AW. She was brilliant and everyone thought she would go on to big things when she left.
I want to feel bad for Coley, but really. Did you need any more red flags?
