Yeah, "Dehydrated" is one of those go-to excuses for celebs when the real reason is something like "drugs" or "mental breakdown." I'm still worried about him.

How would someone who is essentially housebound with a knee injury get dehydrated to the point of incoherence? Yeah, "Dehydrated" is one of those go-to excuses for celebs when the real reason is something like "drugs" or "mental breakdown." I'm still worried about him. I thought the favorite excuse is "exhaustion". I don't recall hearing "dehydration" as a cover story. Assuming what People says is true, maybe a family member should step forward and petition for guardianship?

I think "exhaustion" became a punchline so they've moved on to "dehydration".

How would someone who is essentially housebound with a knee injury get dehydrated to the point of incoherence? When I get serious migraines, I tend to get dehydrated, which makes the migraine worse, which makes me not want to drink or able to keep things down. I don't think it's totally implausible.

If he's fighting a stomach bug, or enduring gastric side effects from his knee injury pain meds, that'll do it, too. I'm also worried.

Wasn't there a rumor that his housekeeper was holding him hostage?

This whole situation just seems shady. I think that's what everyone is reacting to. Yeah, there are some plausible explanations given but something clearly is not right. And if he's operating at diminished mental capacity he is a target for the zillions of unscrupulous people who prey upon the weak.

Ch. 5 news (Fox in NYC) just reported that he is transitioning and will now be known as Fiona. The most reputable (although not especially reputable) source I've found is Radar/National Enquirer. Who knows, but I hope he or she is getting what they need.

That would make a lot of sense if he's been reclusive due to transitioning. I would prefer that to him being really ill or mentally incapacitated. Good luck Richard (and/or whatever you want to be known as)...

Yeah, that explanation is preferable to some of the others. Good luck to him or her, whatever is going on. I hope the manic joie de vivre is still there.
