Indeed! Cooter speaks out against Hazzard movie.

Some of it is utter bullshit--come on, was the Dukes really family friendly, I want to doubt that--but he's basically right about it being ass. The movie exists just to put the original series out on DVD, nuff said.

Well, I watched the show when I was a kid, and my mother would have never allowed it if it was anything like the movie or video. I have to agree with Cooter, but then I had no intention of ever seeing the movie based on 3 things: Jessica, Johnny Knoxville, and Seann William Scott. Add to that the godawful accents, and I wouldn't touch this movie if it went straight to DVD. It looks stupid.

Jessucka is the primary reason I won't even wait for the DVD. I like Sean and Johnny, love Willie Nelson, and I love Burt Reynolds in an ironic sort of way. But casting the queen of dumb just proves that if you have blonde hair, big tits and a tan, you too can get in a movie with no talent at all.

Don't ban me or anything but I kind of want to see this. But then again, I went to "Glitter" so I'm not exactly the best judge of a movie. And on the other hand, I would probably see it in a cheap theatre.

Tinyshoes summed it up best for me. Willie Nelson is good casting (well, him in a fatsuit would be better), but I'm not helping JSimp play us all for fools with even the slimmest expectation of a movie career. Fuck her, fuck this movie, and fuck whomever greenlighted it by ripping off my own freaking childhood.

I know that IMDb is notorious for having incorrect info, but I read some interesting trivia about this movie on there. It said that Jessica Biel was almost a lock for daisy duck, but was passed over for Jessica Simpson. If that's true then what the hell were they thinking? I wonder what that casting meeting must have sounded like, "Hmmmmm, Jessica Biel is tall, athletic, looks like she can hang with the boys, and has brown hair like the original Daisy Duke............naw, let's get J. Simpson. I know she's short, blond, has no ass, and can't act, but her big tata's will sell more tickets!"

I totally agree...and I don't even like Jessica Biel. Jessica Simpson is not Daisy Duke, she is Jessica Simpson, and this bit of "stunt casting" will backfire because people will see her as JSimp. And some guys may like big boobs but they aren't going to pay $10.00 to see them on the big screen when they can download some porn for free.

I don't expect this movie will do well even if it's good, and I blame Jessica Simpson for that. Damn you Jessica Simpson! Appearing in a movie with Willie Nelson, and possibly screwing up the film career of Johnny Knoxville, who I like in spite of myself!

Speaking of the Simp, I watched her video for "These Boots are Made for Walkin'".

Of all the dirty, nasty, trasy, lowdown, unbelievable, crappy things she could have done.

Not only is the hype around her ruining the movie (as if it wasn't entirely crap to start with), but she ruined a perfectly great "chick power" song.

They need the PR probably just to break even. I'm sure the movie will be number one at the box office...but how much money? I wouldn't waste my money to see this shit.
