And Ricky Gervais was right. The poster for this movie really was hideously Photoshopped to hell. Kim Catrall looks like she had acid poured on her face.

So, it looks like Sex and the City 3 is now a thing that is probably happening. After the "meh"-ness of the first film and the disaster that was the second, this doesn't sound like a good idea. However, I've been watching a lot of SATC reruns lately and am feeling a little nostalgic for the show, so a tiny part of me would be glad to see the girls together again. And I actually have some sort of fondness for the first film these days (I've watched it on TV probably 10 times), despite it not being very good. I guess what I'm saying here is, I will be in the theater on opening night for the third film.

If they are really going to beat a dead horse for the third time, I hope they at least do the right thing and set it in New York. As for storylines...I got nothin'.

I don't know what they could do with the storyline, except maybe one of the spouses dying?

That was one of the rumours for the last movie (Big having a heart attack, I think?) But the only thing that died were our souls.

(Carrie played candy striper/nursemaid; they got close, then Big decided to become emotionally unavailable again. This lead Carrie to fall into the arms of the Ruski. [How do I still remember this?]) Killing Big would kill the entire franchise. People also left out Kim Cattrall's response to the rumors on Twitter:It figures Kim Cattrall didn't get the memo yet.

He didn't have a heart attack, but he did have heart surgery. I can't remember if they said what he was having done, just that it was "routine" heart surgery. I'm guessing he had a stent placed or something? So they laid the groundwork for him having heart problems a long time ago, and a heart attack now would make sense. I don't think they would do that, though, or that they should. We already had so much conflict for Carrie and Big in the first and second movies, I think they should leave them alone in the third.

The only way I would possibly watch another SatC movie would be if there were spoilers that Carrie and Big are done forever. I know that she always had terrible taste in men, but her ending up with the man who broke her heart over and over again is not the happy ending the powers that be made it out to look.
