I called George as the John Doe as well, it just made the most sense.

I swear, if Izzie dies I am done! Alex/Izzie are the reason I watch this show! Poor Alex! And George! Yup, me too. I'll watch Alex scenes on youtube or something, but otherwise, I'm done too.

I'm glad it was George at the end instead of stupid Denny. It was a nice episode overall, but it still doesn't erase the massive suckage of Never!Ending ghost Denny. My bitterness lives forever.
Now that Meredith and Derek have stopped being maladjusted enablers I've stopped wishing death upon them. What a relief.
I feel sorry for Alex. Izzie looked like she could hear them still working on her, maybe she'll be back.
That was a nice try with the switcheroo scenes for George, Owen, and the enlistment center but I think it was pretty obvious what was going to happen. Love Cristina/Owen. Nothing is cuter than the slightly wry expression he gets on his face when Cristina is wigging out about something.

I haven't watched Grey's since Season 3, but decided the watch the last hour because nothing else was on. My goodness, those last minutes had me in serious tears, the elevator scene killed me and I suddenly remembered why Grey's Anatomy used to own my soul.

I just watched the entire season marathon-style and I feel the same way. It's certainly not what it used to be but it still tugged at me. I was completely surprised at the George reveal and was not aware of the backstage drama until I started reading up after watching the final episode. It's a shame things have gone as they have. The original dynamic of George, Meredith, Alex, Christina and Izzie was amazing and what with the romantic merry go-round and character additions and subtractions, that has been lost as the emotional center of the show.
I would say that Ellen Pompeo and Chandra Wilson made the season for me. CW as Bailey has become the glue holding this thing together and I think EP does really well with emotional subtext and has made some sketchy writing re: Meredith's journey to wholeness believable. I don't think I would be able to tolerate Meredith and Derek if not for her.

I started watching the show occasionally since Denny came back (storyline = lame, JDM = hot) and watched the last three episodes before the finale online and DVR'd the finale. Oh mah gawd.
OK. I totally didn't get that John Doe was George until the "007" part. I wasn't paying attention to the John Doe thing at all and was thinking it was just another patient to fill in time between Izzy and all that. That was a complete "Oh shit!" moment.
I think Katherine Heigl is an a-hole, but, man. Her and Alex kill me. When she was on the elevator in that prom dress, I remembered when Denny died how Alex picked her up and took her out of the room. Then I may have cried a little, especially when they showed George in his uniform.
I haven't read any of the new backstage drama, but it's pretty much confirmed that T.R.'s off the show, right?

Depends on who you believe... According to this, nothing is official yet but this could just be ABC and the producers not wanting to give anything away before the season premiere. If he leaves, they probably won't make it official until then. ETA: 6/18/09 - Update: Still no "official" confirmation from ABC, but this seems pretty solidLooks like SR did want to drag it out a bit but they couldn't work it out. 6/19/09 - Update #2: We finally have official confirmation from T.R. Knight himself: TR Knight confirms exit

Wow! no comments about this season AT. ALL. Shocking! and it really didn't suck too badly.
Way to clean house and get rid of excess cast members. Why did Owen have to survive? He and Teddy could both leave and I'd be quite happy. I'm glad that Avery made the cut, I'm expecting some good Avery/Christina scenes next year. And I guess the Mark, Lexie, Alex triangle is back now too.

I thought Mandy Moore's acting was pretty good. I actually forgot I was watching Mandy Moore. Maybe she should have started off her career with acting instead of singing. She has talent.
I watched Prison Break, and even by those standards, this episode seemed really unrealistic, what with the SWAT team being that slow on the uptake and all.

Seriously. Five SWAT team members for a hospital of that size? And I didn't understand why the SWAT team member shot Agent Butterfield and then just let him run off to kill some more. And while I thought it was a decent episode and they managed to up the suspense and tension and angst realistically, I though the miscarriage was just way too over-the-top, even for Shonda.
